Panini Blog Panini America Produces Special Tim Tebow Card for “Everything In Between” DVD

Less than two full seasons into his NFL career,*Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow already has*appeared on more than 1,300*trading cards worth*more than $52,000. Autographed cards. Rookie Cards. Sequentially numbered cards. Cards with pieces of his game-worn jersey. Cards with pieces of his shoes. Cards he shares with Sam Bradford.*Cards he shares with John Elway. Florida Gators cards. Illustrated cards. Die-cut cards.*Cards valued at 60 cents. Cards valued at $600. The checklist, quite literally, goes on . . . and on . . . and on . . .
But Tebow*has never appeared on a trading card*quite like the one that*releases next week inside specially marked copies of his*new documentary DVD “Everything In Between.”
Through a unique*partnership with XV Enterprises, Panini America produced a*special Tebow trading card*to accompany the documentary DVD, the full-length*version of*the*special that*first aired on ESPN in January.*The*card*includes a picture of Tebow from his pro day workout in March*2010 on the front and one of Tebow’s favorite Bible verses, Philippians 4:13, on the back.
“We really wanted to include a special collectors item that fans of all ages could enjoy,” said Robby Tebow, Tim’s older brother and the President of XV Enterprises. “This limited-edition trading card provided us with the ideal platform to tie it all together; that not only ‘Everything in Between,’ but everything that we strive to achieve, is possible because of what Philippians 4:13 says: ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’”
Panini America officials worked closely with the*elder Tebow and Angel Gonzalez of XV Enterprises to*bring the special card to life. The next stop: Cherished collectibles for thousands of new collectors when*”Everything In Between” releases in stores Tuesday.
“The heritage of Panini is deeply rooted in being true to the player,” said*Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Vice President of Marketing. “When Robby approached us to discuss the possibility of incorporating a Panini America trading card into ‘Everything In Between,’ we knew the card had to be different and that it should personify what Tim stands for and what he’s*all about.*It is our goal to be true to every player we work with and this special*card is about being authentic to Tim.”
