For 11 straight days beginning in late March, Panini America baseball officials will embark on a two-state, cross-country journey that will take them from Florida to Arizona for the Second Annual Panini Spring Training Road Trip. Just as they did last season, Panini America officials will use the trip to meet with the brightest young stars in baseball for autograph sessions, photo shoots and spirited social media activation.

During last season’s inaugural Panini Spring Training Road Trip, company officials connected with more than 30 players. For 2015, the objective is to double that number.

The trip kicks off March 20 in Florida, beginning in Fort Myers and then traveling to Tampa, Orlando, Port St. Lucie and Jupiter. On March 28, the Road Trip makes its Arizona appearance during a two-day stay in Phoenix. Throughout the trip, Panini America plans to meet with more than 60 of the brightest young players in baseball (as well as a few superstar veterans) for a series of events that includes autograph signings, Panini America Box Breaks and social media activation featuring Twitter takeovers of the @PaniniAmerica account and Twitter Q&As with fans about preparing for the upcoming season and, of course, showcasing the players’ new Panini America baseball cards.

Key players scheduled to attend the Second Annual Panini Spring Training Road Trip include Chicago Cubs stars Kris Bryant, Javier Baez and Addison Russell, Yasmany Tomas of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Joey Gallo of the Texas Rangers, Rusney Castillo and Yoan Moncada of the Boston Red Sox, Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano of the Minnesota Twins and many more.

“Last year’s inaugural Panini Spring Training Road Trip was a tremendous success on a number of fronts,” said Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Vice President of Marketing. “It not only allowed us the opportunity to spend meaningful time with – and secure invaluable content from — many players who are integral to our MLBPA-licensed products, it also helped us prove that the Road Trip idea would work. With one year under our belt, we’re ready to make this a bigger event this year and in the years to come.”

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional details and to Panini America’s Twitter feed and Instagram account for your chance to interact directly with the players participating.
