As we first showed you in the Quality Control Gallery earlier this week, the debut edition of Totally Certified Hockey delivers a distinct Totally Certified feel while also introducing several new tweaks to the brand that promise to be well-received by hardcore puckheads. Foremost among them, though, are the simply stunning Platinum Mirror parallels that combine familiar microetching with rainbow holographic foil to create a delicious new chase.
No matter how cool you think the pictures of those cards are, you can’t truly appreciate them until your holding one in your hands. You’ll have the chance to pull Red, Blue, Gold and Green versions when 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey releases February 19. But there’s only one way to get your hands on the rare Purple Platinum Mirrors.
Panini America officials announced on Friday the creation of a promotion-exclusive Purple Platinum Mirror parallel set available in three-card packs as a case-incentive program to distributors and stores. For every case of 2013-14 Totally Certified Hockey on order now or ordered by February 25, distributors and stores will receive one three-card pack of Purple Platinum Mirror cards while supplies last. Every card in the Purple Platinum set is numbered to 35 and we’ve provided a riveting sneak peek of the cards in the gallery that follows.
