Pittsburgh, PA. — In what’s becoming a draft tradition, Panini America officials spent another late night at the NHL Draft. This year, Panini America captured photos and autographs from a talented young group of hopefuls at the Console Energy Center as the Pittsburgh Penguins hosted Round One of the 2012 NHL Draft.
The company spent quality time with several young prospects and future NHL superstars, including No. 1 overall pick Nail Yakupov as well as Ryan Murray, Alex Galchenyuk and Griffin Reihnart. Players signed autographs and took photo’s for their first trading cards (released as soon as they skate in an NHL game) and we, of course, gathered some content for The Knight’s Lance.
Stay tuned in the coming days as we’ll post behind-the-scenes footage right here, including an exclusive interview with Nail Yakupov and Ryan Murray. We’ll also giveaway a few lucky hockey collectors some sweet things from this weekend’s events.
And now. . . a few pics from Round One.
