Just when you thought this week couldn’t possibly generate more hobby hysteria, well, it’s about to. On the heels of Panini America’s blockbuster Charles Barkley announcement on Tuesday, and the launching of the 2018 National Sports Collectors Convention, 2017-18 Noir Basketball, 2018 Elements Football and 2018 Immaculate Baseball on Wednesday, comes this little nugget of collecting newsiness: At long last, the highly anticipated 2018 Eminence Soccer arrives on Friday . . . and it is spectacular.
Simply, Eminence Soccer is unlike any other trading card product the soccer world has ever seen, full of legendary autographs, game-worn memorabilia, cleat studs, silver, gold, platinum and precious gems. Oh, we can’t forget the precious gems. Literally, they are, as you’ll see, quite unforgettable. We’ve brought you occasional glimpses of 2018 Eminence Soccer throughout the development process, including last week’s revealing packout peek. Today, we’re offering one more pre-release look as we prepare for tomorrow’s official launch date.
From the product’s unique sales material (which also features an extravagant coffee-table book) to our previous reveals here on The Knight’s Lance to the gems you’re about to see, it’s elegantly obvious that 2018 Eminence Soccer is going to be a history-maker of a product.
Each box of 2018 Eminence Soccer will have at least 12 cards, including at least 11 autographs. In addition, all boxes will deliver at least one Patch Autograph or Stud Signatures card and a 1/1 card. Bonus Content boxes (falling approximately every other box) will include up to 15 cards with at least 12 autographs.
While the product is loaded with hard-signed and cut-autograph cards from the greatest current superstars and all-time legends (Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr., Wayne Rooney, Diego Maradona, Christian Puisic, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and more), there is one thing to note regarding the legendary Pelé: Due to unforeseen health issues, the Brazilian icon will not have on-card autographs in 2018 Eminence Soccer. He will, however, be featured on a stunning Octet Auto Booklet featuring eight autographs from the biggest names in Brazilian soccer history. Additionally, Pelé will be featured in the Massive Match-Used Materials insert on Panini America’s first memorabilia cards featuring a Pelé match-worn Brazil jersey. Finally, Pelé will appear in two precious metal inserts with slabs of silver, gold and platinum and on a Team Colors 1/1 gem card.
Having said all of that, here are more must-see images . . .
