Panini America officials in the fall unveiled the company’s unique “1st Off The Line” program that gives fans and collectors the opportunity to purchase and receive a limited quantity of select trading card products early. The program — which also includes limited content available exclusively in “1st Off the Line” versions — officially launched in mid-September with 2016-17 Immaculate Basketball (which sold out in less than an hour) and has continued in recent weeks with 2017 Prizm Football (sold out), 2017 National Treasures Baseball (sold out), 2016-17 Flawless Basketball (sold out) and, most recently, 2017-18 Prizm Basketball, a launch that generated more than 120,000 web sessions on the official online store of Panini America and caused a temporary decline in website performance.
Today, baseball returns to the “1st Off The Line” spotlight with a special edition of 2017 Flawless Baseball. Preorders for a limited number of 2017 Flawless Baseball “1st Off The Line” briefcases will begin at 10 a.m. CST today and will be available only while supplies last. Each “1st Off The Line” briefcase of 2017 Flawless Baseball will include one exclusive Purple Gem card numbered to nine or less and an additional autograph or memorabilia card.
The national release date for 2017 Flawless Baseball is December 20, but “1st Off The Line” versions will arrive to customers who order during the presell window 24 to 48 hours in advance of the national release date.
