Hey everyone, after all the ladder discussion on other threads, I thought this would be an interesting thread. On New Years Day I will average out ladder positions to get a rough position in everyone's opinion.
OK....here goes! Bearing in mind that not even one week has passed since the end of THIS season
1. Port Adelaide
2. Sydney
3. Geelong
4. Hawthorn
5. Fremantle
6. North Melbourne
7. West Coast
8. Essendon
9. Richmond
10. Adelaide
11. Collingwood
12. Gold Coast
13. Carlton
14. Brisbane
15. GWS
16. Western Bulldogs
17. Melbourne
18. St Kilda
I think early talk of a Hawthorn three-peat is wishful/fanciful thinking. As often proves to be the case in September, your ladder finish means quite a lot - particularly for Victorian teams.
Think ASASA stuff will knock us around a fair bit, but I like to think we have enough talent to cover as long as it's not 2 years penalties as the outcome ( may be wishful thinking, we'll see soon enough). I think I speak on behalf of every Essendon and AFL supporter, can't wait to have footy back without all the off-field drama. Carn the Dons!
