Although, not really heated discussion, I figure this would be the best place for this.

A little while ago an idea was floated about doing a mass box break on this site. Like most other ideas, nothing really has come of it. Well, I'm deciding to take the bulls by the horn, and attempting to get this done.

As there are plenty of upcoming releases, I figure now would be the best time to get it done (plus I'm getting a few boxes in). I am proposing that on Saturday November 5, we do this. This will give time for people to organise boxes for their break.

I am also proposing that each person doing a live break to contact me, and we then organise a timeslot for each individual break, so that there will only be 1 box break going on at a time. How does this sound? Some ideas here too would help (ie Timeslots - length, all at once?)

I also suggest that the breaks commence at 12pm AEST and go throughout the day.

Great idea mate! I'm down with that. I haven't got anything plan to purchase for that week, so it should be sweet.

I was going to get or participate on that auction tonight of 04-05 Skybox Premium, but it went higher than my budget for the week....

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to this event!!

If we all broke the same it would be pretty cool....??? Would make it easier for trades etc.... only an idea... :idea:

In my opinion, I think it would be better to break different boxes. Simply because everyone has self-preferences on which boxes they might like to buy/break.

Taking into account, different boxes have different costs, as money can be an issue.

But what do the others think?

I don't get it though, Clarke- are you proposing another "pitch in to buy a case" idea? Or just a simultaneous break-your-own-box day?

Either way, I don't have cash to buy boxes and my interest in breaking them is gone. I'll enjoy watching though. I suggest wait for maybe the new SPx or SPA product? Is it coming out soon?

Ruckers - Break what ever box you like. Although if we all had the same, there would be some coolness (anyone remember all those Hoops box breaks?)

Kidd - No, you organise your own box. Simultaneous break-your-own-box day.

There is plenty of product coming out in the next month. Maybe 5th Nov is a bit soon, but maybe 1 Saturday in November. Maybe 19th?

First of all, congratz on your breaks and thank you for the entertainment!

Perhaps we should make a poll to see which dates will suits other members most? I'm fine with any of the dates that you've mentioned, just as long as it will be confirmed maybe a week or two before it's final/decided date.

Besides Lippo & Proto that I've discussed this with, seeing as there aren't many who has responded to this brilliant idea, maybe most ppl might've missed it? Unless you have been in touch with most of the others.
