Ozcards Kris Kringle!!!

ive posted this idea in another thread but heres probably where the suggestion should be so ill post it here as well as the poll too. all this generosity being shown by fellow collectors has inspired me, so anyway:

All this generosity has given me an idea though. we could do a kris kringle kind of thing here on ozcards. one person sends another random person a card/s that they know that person would appreciate, nothing too extravagant (unless you want to be). that person then does the same for another random person, and so forth. when the person recieves their gift, they are then marked off a list or something and they have to post what they recieved, so people know theyve had their turn...

im sure there's a few kinks in that basic plan, and im making it up as i type, but if we could get a good system going it could be a really cool thing and would bring us all even closer together as fellow hobbyists/collectors/mates.

i dunno if thats a stupid idea or who would in favour of it, but i think it would be cool. what do you guys reckon?

i think it is a pretty good idea. i will be in that.but i am sure somebody will find a flaw in there somewhere.

sounds like a gud idea.. you'd need to have a wide variety of cards thoughh.. my collection has barely anything that others would find useful.. as i normally get rid of everything straight away..! sounds good thoughh..!

Dont think you could put a "minimum requirement" on it...these are free cards after all!

the only reason i say that is there is nothing exciting about receiving base (maybe i have been scarred by all the base i have).

This was discussed by some Admin this year but didn't go thru. I and a few others just did it anyway and sent some out.

I love this idea and think it would work here as everyone pretty much knows what others collect and need. Even supplies are great IMO. Im sure everyone would back up the promise to send and send on time too.

Id say a list should be drawn up of who to who for all that want to be in then PM's sent out to everyone telling them who they have.

Plenty of time to get this done though.

Other members will be able to help you out and if they can't Admin will contact them as ask on your behalf to help giving away the surprise I'd say. Wouldnt' that be the easiest way?

I reckon doing something like this in December leading up to Christmas would be a good idea... gives everyone 10 months to get a name and address and organise stuff for people.
