Hey all,

I've been checking out Paninis stuff a bit more now that I'm certain UD will not be coming back for a long, long time, ha ha.

Next year I head to the US for a couple of weeks with my eye on collecting a Panini product.

I think they have some sweet stuff out, even if they're keeping products too similar from year to year (Intrigue Golds /10 the same bar a die cut).

What I want to know is, what do you think of their 1/1s?

Prizm has the Mosaics 1/1

Intrigue Platinum 1/1

Immaculate 1/1 base

There's also Gold Standard and more.

I won't bother showing the Signatures 1/1

There are multiple 1/1s of players in a Prizm or Intrigue. I like them.

But which are the most collectable or look the best?

My goal is to hopefully grab a case of something next year  when I'm in the US.

Do you rate all of these 1/1s or not? Any preference?

Do you have any? Feel free to show off.

Benny:)

For a 1/1 to be collectable to me, it needs to have a point of difference to the regular version - a different color foil (silver / platinum for court kings... or the change of the foil stamp in the 11v12 NT dual auto series) just doesnt make the cut for me. A laundry tag on a 1/1 is an obvious one, and the gold standard and prizm 1/1s all have a pretty substantial variation to them, in that they are black and appear visually unique.

I like the 1/1's from nicer products which will actually be busted, what I dont like is crappy base parallel 1/1's in product people never open.

For a basic 1/1 parallel, I like the simpleness and classic style of the Imac "one of one" like the old style 1/1.

But the true 1/1 logoman etc are the jewels.

I agree. The Prizm Mosaics stand out for me, but I'm worried they'll stick with the black for a while yet, could make those 1/1s very common.

There are some horrible 1/1s that actually look EXACTLY the same as the base card. I think Contenders comes to mind.

I like the Immacs too, even though there's not much difference.

Probably the Intrigue 1/1s interest me the most, yet with 10 versions of each card, plus the same designs as last year, I'm reluctant to jump in, just in case they do the same thing next year.
