This is a two part whinge / query.
1. I bought (on eBay) and opened a box of Gremlins 2 cards from Topps circa 1990. I accepted there could be some issues with the gum sticking to the cards, but these looked like the gum had exploded inside the packets. I got my money back from the seller via a Paypal claim, because about half of the cards were completely damaged or stuck together. Does anyone know whether it would be possible to clean off the gum residue from the remaining cards and stickers without damaging them further?
2. Theoretically 36 packs x 9 cards = 324 cards, = 3 + sets (88 cards). Out of 324 cards I could not make a single set - 11 cards short. Is this standard for these older releases? I opened a box of Back to the Future 2 cards from Topps last year and I got three sets from that box, and no more than one spare of each card.
PS If anyone has some spares from this series, I would love to complete the set.
Thanks, Peter.
