Had a (3rd) knee recon recently which had me off work for 4 weeks! Not much to do except rehab and watch foxtel so I have JUST started watching UFC 6 & UFC 7 plus what ever UFC fights have been shown. Man I gotta tell ya I'm hooked!
Up until now I have been a pure boxing fan due to my boxing background through my dad but this UFC & MMA stuff can be exciting to watch! Not sure if i'll be busting any boxes but I thought I'd let you all know I understand why you get into this.....it's awesome!
Another strength of the UFC that boxing doesn't have, is that they go to great lengths to let you get to know the fighters. Through things like The Ultimate Fighter, PPV previews and even the commentary during the events, you really get a sense of who these people are and what they're about. Often all the way down to the undercard.

its the maddest sport i started training mma just over 15months ago i train at absolute mma in exhibition st in melbourne, im now a blue belt in brazillian ju jitsu and i can tell you already its helped me out in a few situations especially against boxers who think that punching is the be all of everything they dont like submissions to much lol but when i first statred i knew nothing just from watching the ufc and 15 months later ive already had a training session with forrest griffin he came to our gym for a private lesson it was awesome just to roll on the mat with someone that good was a amazing feeling ive posted some pics blow you should seriously think about training mate the more you do the more you'll understand the ufc better
all the best
I got into UFC a few months ago too, there was just some cage fighting on fox earlier tonight, CFC17 I think, some good action there too keep an eye out
Haha, yer...a lot of people think that. I got hooked when i watched TUF Season 1. Basically by getting to know the personalities of the fighters I then had an intereset in watching the actual PPV's. I've seen all 13 seasons of TUF and have every single PPV on the PC. Started at 52 (because that is when Season 1 of TUF finished). Since then i've gone back and started the earlier ones that i missed (currently up to 33 which is a few PPVs after Zuffa bought the UFC)
