Official NBA 2k14 Thread

Does anyone know if 2K14 has the online leagues? I heard they weren't going to in 2K14.
A few years back a whole heap of us on here did an online league on the PS3. It was a heap of fun.

Yer, Wiz....still has the Online Franchise. We have still been doing them each year.

There is quite a bit of additional stuff in the next gen version. I've read that a lot of the games that have been worked on with duel releases (current and next gen) had the current gen version getting a lot less attention. It's basically just about getting a product on the shelf while concentrating on moving forward with the bigger/better PS4 and XBOX One versions.

So I caved, and bought this last week, well actually my wife traded in BF4 (X360) and put the rest towards it for me. Not bad, apart from the visuals, it's pretty much the same 2K we all know.

I'm still getting used to the changed (again) controls, especially the post moves, etc. I've got 2 MyPlayers on the go, not REALLY liking either of them, I'll most likely do up another dude over the next coming few days (anyone who knows me and my MyPlayer habits will know this is what I do). I've got a "Scoring" PG, but don't really like being on the Suns behind Dragic and Bledsoe, and I've got a "3pt Specialist" SF, but didn't like my team (can't think who it was - deleted files already).

I'll most likely restart both MyCareer's and just have the 1 guy on the go. Disappointed that only SOME names in the database can/will be pronounced, as opposed to previously saying all of the default options.

Has anyone tried out the online associations?

There is no online association in the next Gen versions....only on 360 and PS3. I was devastated when I discovered this.

Oh snap, I didnt know they removed it totally!? Doesnt bother me really, but I'm sure others would have upgraded the game with a new console only to realise it wasnt there....

Got bored last night, threw in 2K and started another MP. I went with a 6'10" Athletic C. Had pretty much 20, 10, 5 & 5 + 2, and got drafted to the Suns at 5th. Not bad, but no VC Bonus for 4th. I then started again, with an 6'7" Athletic PG, would have had 20p, 10a, 5r + 2b & 2s + a few TOs, (was quite obviously THE standout player), got interviewed by the Bobcats (4th) and the Pelicans (6th). Told both teams I wasnt interested in playing there. And then it happened.... I slipped and FELL big time in the draft! Was hoping the Mavs were going to look at me at 13, but I kept going until the Bucks picked me up at the 15th pick.

Actually not a bad 2K side, Sanders and Mayo + Butler can all score where you want them to, so it's just a matter of getting them the ball.

I'm really trying for that 1st Overall Pick as well as the 13th Pick for the Mavs - may take a SF or something of interest for the Mavs.

Been a while, but is anyone still playing 2K?

After watching the All-Star Weekend events I got the itch and chucked it on for a few hours last night (read: finished at 2am).

I was really (REALLY) rusty, but still played alright. Wouldnt mind getting back into it, if not just for MyCareer Mode and trying to actually finish a season with it!

Nah Mavs drafted my center (I forced a trade to the Thunder though lol) so its possible... just gotta not play so good in showcase lol

Got back to the game and i'm addicted to my player as usual

Decided to stop using 3 Point SF and decided to make an Athletic PG which is pretty fun

Just into my 3rd Season, but only recently managed to get my 1st 2 Quadruple Doubles took a long time to achieve it!

Yep I'm still playing. Plugging away at The Association mode lakers squad 66-11 win / loss right now. Swaggy P leading the lead PPG while Kobe averaging over 10 assists too. Only my first season am looking forward to having a splash in free agency soon

All this NBA talk has me wishing I never traded in my copy for XB1. Waiting now until 2K15 comes out, may grab it on PS4 instead of XB1 this time.

Damn, I didnt know they expired. Bugger.

That one above was release a few days ago, should still be good (hopefully). I saw one guy got like 10,000 VC!!! Would have loved it when I was working on a new MyCareer Player!

Side note, before shipping my games off to Dom, the last MyCareer Player I was creating (6'10" SF 3pt specialist) dropped 50pts in the Showcase game, and got picked 4th to Bobcats. - You could say I was trying to re-create a Rashard Lewis type player, ha ha.

Looking forward to 2K15 I can tell ya that!!! Pre-ordering it soon. EB Games' special edition has some Kevin Durant mini hoop and ball set, would be cool for my office, ha ha.
