Wow..... this is such a shame. Can't really blame OKC for doing it though and not sure where Hardens decision making process was at, but if it was just about the extra money then that is $hit!
Gonna really miss watching him play @ OKC with the other boys, but on the other hand interested to see how he can go as a starter.
We got some nice pickups out of this deal with the 2 first-rounders (do they have any protection and who are they from?) and Lamb, but not overly keen on Martin, he's an awful defender and is as one-dimensional as they come.
Toronto is lottery-protected. The other one is from the Lakers I think.
isn't there a 5 year contract that okc wasn't offering? not just the money
Other first rounder is from Dallas I think?
Second rounder is from New Orleans!
Second rounder definitely from the Bobcats! Which is basically the 31st pick
IMO basketball is all about game winners and game changers. Most guys can 'accumulate' and get you the numbers but it is the special ones that win you games and titles. Harden was one of the specials ones and can change a game in a heartbeat like mj, Kobe, ginobili etc. I certainly think Houston won out but an interesting point a few posts earlier if he can do that as a starter.

Hes a mad player, no offense intended bro but when i was reading your post this one kinda hit me from left field.
Yeh the news about Harden is massive. Me? Id have thought he should stay and chase for a Championship ring. Houston is a fresh start, he seemed to have struggled as a starter last season. All the best to him.
u could always donate to the ozguy collection hahaI can't believe James Harden traded to Houston. But Kevin Martin is a good player for OKC, incl RC Jeremy Lamb.
James Harden wasn't a starter most of the time for OKC. But with Houston he will start every single game. He doesn't want to be a "6th player of the Year". I would want to be a full-time starter, every game!
What to do with these cards now?
but i could
but you dont collect J.Harden
Seems to have been very driven by luxury tax concerns; I remember reading about how the 'smart' teams will start pressing the reset buttons on rookie deals by trading a guy ready for a new deal for a rookie (ie George Hill to Indy for a pick).
I'll be interested to see how Harden deals with being the man in HOU, although I think in McHale's PG-centric system, Lin will still be a big scorer.
I'm intrigued how Martin and Lamb (plus draft picks) were what OKC got; both have reps as shooters. Maybe that was deemed more important by the OKC brass?
if u dont want them u can give them to me, im liking that patch.......I can't believe James Harden traded to Houston. But Kevin Martin is a good player for OKC, incl RC Jeremy Lamb.
