I've followed them since I was 10 years old because of 1 man. The Admiral. Not sure why he stood out to me as there were some great centres around and everyone else was on the Orlando Magic with Shaq and Penny or the Sonics with the awesome Kemp and Payton.

I think you should definately go for the one on ebay Ian. You will not be dissappointed.

Your probably right, I was just having a bit of a laugh...

I chased the Jersey Numbered Enshrinement's up to about $130 I think but couldnt afford to go higher!! Have the current one under watch but doubt I can afford it at the moment! Bills coming out of my ears, plus paypal holding $150+ of my money for 21 days is a bitch!!

I don't think this one will reach that much, you might be able to snag it for a decent price.

Oh yeah, the good ol paypal hold. Hassle.

Btw... I don't hate the Spurs, the only team I hate is the Fakers, I just don't really like the Spurs lol...... plus they've won enough titles already lol, so it wouldn't be as interesting for them to win it again.

The auction one probably showed up BECAUSE you hit a slightly high BIN lol, so don't stress about that be happy you got it if you wanted it

paul injured, grifiin injured, struggle time for the clips... Watching lebro basically play the 1 spot today was interesting, when we meet them in the finals i would love to see him out there!! I dont want to play memphis again, bad memories...

During the period of time that the Spurs won all 4 of their titles, the 'Ratings' were real low. The lowest rating for a finals series ever was the Spurs v Cavs from memory.

Because of all of the hype around how the ratings were down, people started to label the Spurs as 'boring' because not many people watched the finals. However, people fail to acknowledge the opponents, as well as the results as a possible reason why the ratings were down:

99 - Spurs v Knicks - Rated 11.3 -- Spurs won 4-1 so not exactly a 'gripping series' and Ewing was injured
00 - Lakers v Pacers - Rated 11.6 -- pretty close???
03 - Spurs v Nets - Rated 6.5 - Spurs won 4-2. But remember, it was the Nets!
05 - Spurs v Pistons - Rated 8.2 -- Spurs won 4-3 - Pistons!! Nuff said!
07 - Spurs v Cavs - Rated 6.2 (worst ever) - Spurs swept the cavs, so again, not interesting really!

They fail to mention the in between games like Dallas v Miami where it only rated 8.5 as well! So it is really a matter of the 2 teams that play, not just the winner and also the year in general.

So the Spurs carry a stigma (from people who don't actually watch or appreciate proper basketball) and that is why the stick to saying they are 'boring' instead of making their own decision after watching/understanding their games!

Interesting, there may not be as many dunks during a spurs game but they are the most fluent offensive team at the minute. I think people just generalize.

They are boring for me, they are also efficient, drilled and well coached.
Really, flair isn't good basketball, but it gets bums on seats.
They don't really have any outgoing personalities either, just quiet achievers.
Interesting stats you put up, they've been the best team in the league for the last 15 years, better than you know who. But again that's the stigma that has stuck I suppose.

That rings a bell, was that when we hit knocked out in conference finals? They probably could have won last year if Duncan and many didn't go down injured just before playoffs.

Watching the Heat v Knicks replay atm
Man, if the Heat play like that every game they'd be unbeatable. Obviously hard to get everyone on the same page like that every time - Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Battier all great games, Knicks were lucky to be that close, Amare fouled out and Carmelo did his best but as expected, not enough fire power. It's weird, JR Smith was ON FIRE overseas, and now it's like he has a great game every 10 games and other games is just floating around waiting for Carmelo to go to the bench so he can jack up some shots, looks lost.

Anyway! Pacers got pounded 3-1 in regular season matchups but hopefully will be a semi-entertaining series

Agreed spurlec, the Knicks are not very good, for the players they have. On paper they look good. I don't think Carmelo has that desire or leadership that is required to make the next level. Maybe they could sign Nash.
And for the Heat to beat them like they did, doesn't mean they can shut down the Pacers the same.
But I'm tipping the will, lol.
