I am totally wrapped with this lot of vintage oddball

First up
75 All-star sugar daddy Geoff Petrie

52 Wheaties

Mikan Portrait,Bob Davies Portrait & Action,Jim Pollard Portrait

My favourite is the Bob Davies Portrait as it has the Black edging.. very nice cut and 4 good corners.
These cards where hand cut from Wheaties boxes. The set has 60 cards from every sport from baseball to bowling. The are 30 players in the set, each with a portrait view and an action view. There are six cards of three different basketball players.

These cards where orginally a 2 panel card that could be seperated through the middle. Single cards like these have a perforated edge on the left or right side. There are 5 basketball players in this set of 72 cards.Bill Cousy being the big one too get.

The sugar Daddys are one of my Favourite sets

very nice tracy, might not see many maildays from you but they are all qaulity when we do

thanks for sharing

cheers:wave:

Hey Trace, that's not odd ball, it's OLD ball... lol.

Love the Sugar Daddy!!!

I don't know what I like more, the Sharman, the Mikan, or the dude with a funny nick-name (Schnittker, kinda sounds like sh-kicker).

Great mailday!!!

love the old stuff. sugar daddy's make me laugh everytime i hear em lol

like the berk ross cards but got to love the wheaties. love the mikan :)

Great stuff Tracy!

That Sharman is in beautiful condition! Especially the colour that varies a great deal on that issue due to the printing technique. It also suffers from focus problems as well with a few images used in printing it similar to the 48 bowman issue. The Mikan Portrait too is great looking. Is that that set of the two or do you still the need the in action one?? Are the backs clean on them?

Icee bears are one of the coolest as you know. Good luck on the Cousy Berk Ross. His first ever card btw too.

Thanks for sharing and congrats again. Great to see oddball and vintage alive here.

awesome mailday...

love the west, hawkins and robertson cards.. they are so nice..

these are not every day cards and really hard to acquire.. sweet additions..

Thanks for all your replies...it's great to hear all your comments.

Chad ...The Wheaties Pollard portrait has some glue on the back but the rest are very clean with no stains.
My favourite is the Davies portrait the bloke I got it off had this in his collection for 15 years and it is very white like the Pollard.I intend on upgrading the Mikan if I can get one whiter and with black boarder.
I need the Mikan & Pollard action to complete the basketball players in this set.
I was wrapped to get the Icee Bear only need the Pistol Pete SP & Archie Clark SP these 2 are hard to find well centred.

Cheers

Great stuff on the icee's. Just give us a shout out if you find it too hard to get a Pistol centered. Most of the junk non circulated ones hit eBay bus as you know I have other sources for this stuff ;-)

The Mikan will pop up pretty reguarly too for you.

Whats next on the hit list??

I'm moving onto Khans after 'our' day and its all paid for. That will be some exciting maildays for me. Not sure if everyone else knows much about them though but they rock!
