The way Gus was talking tonight on Twitter wasn't real positive about keeping him at Penrith.
I really see it like this, he is a great player and i'd love to keep him on the Panthers, but I think he is 31 (i think) and coming off 2 major leg injuries and probably wanting a decent contract too, this is probably whats scared off Penrith from resigning him.
hes only 28, will be 29 later in the year and on something like 175K now. when he was the leading NRL pointscorer. meanwhile we pay 400k for jennings who is just as injury prone, clearly couldnt give a shit about anything being always out on the drink and who they dont even pass the ball two when he is playing.
