The Panthers and Tigers game was just a great, entertaining match to watch. Bravo to both sides. A lot of people discuss the relative merits of a locked in season and TV scheduling...but that was a tops game even with so many doubting it would reach any great height.
my 2nd row is already.
choc watmough, sbw, parker, burgess, mateo.
all of which i consider keepers. so fensom doesnt fit into my plans going to get gallen after origin instead. fensom is a better option then sbw at this stage but since i have him im keeping him
Woods set to fill void for axed Tamou
Wests Tigers' Aaron Woods is in line to make his State of Origin debut after Cowboys and North Queensland prop James Tamou was rubbed out for two matches following his arrest on drink driving charges.
Tamou, who played a key role in the Blues 14-6 victory over Queensland in game one, will miss one club game and the Origin return bout after being pulled over by police in Townsville on Monday and allegedly blowing almost four times the legal limit.
He was also driving unlicensed.
Blues coach Laurie Daley told Sportal: "I'm still checking it out and getting my head around it all.
"It's too early to say who will come in. I will have to have a good look at it."
But it's understood Woods is the main candidate after flirting with selection over the past two years.
Tamou's loss continues NSW's troubled build-up to Origin II.
Hooker Robbie Farah and fullback Jarryd Hayne are both racing against time to be fit while the fallout from Paul Gallen’s one-sided punch-up with Nate Myles shows no sign of abating.
It said back to Sydney (currently negotiating with clubs) as he is homesick; coincided with the official announcement of Chad Townsend's signing. Good luck to him, meant to be a good player, but never stood out in reserve grade like a potential first-grader should.
Someone asked him on Sunday when he would be back... he said first game after the bye. The bye falls on the weekend prior to origin.....would they give Grant the chance to prove his fitness or go with Woods. Both are great players and would do the job! Think woods would have the upper hand (pardon the pun)
