I was under the impression that Harry Siejka was a main player in Phil Gould's future vision for the Panthers?
We really ARE screwed.
i seen them there! Amazing day it was. Sandor was sober at least it seemedAnd here they are.....
Growing up playing both codes there has nothing that has changed. In 1987 I played rugby union for the first time and it has always been about the kickbacks and not the payment that you have been given by the club. NRL has always paid more than rugby union but you always earned more money in union than league. All league players defer to union for the money and they would be lying if they say they did not.WHEN footballers say ''it is not about the money'', it invariably is.
What hasn't been disclosed in Israel Folau's one-year Waratahs deal is a secret top-up of $400,000 from the ARU.
Few weeks ago, was really excited to see him come back to the nrl. as the weeks go buy, i now hope hes lost the skill and turns into a $750,000 dud and get hammered at the same time.WHEN footballers say ''it is not about the money'', it invariably is.

Why do they still refer to him as "Billionaire" Nathan Tinkler??
Heard Gus talking at the fan day yesterday to some people and he mentioned that it may get to the point where the NRL will go for the option of a 30- 40,000 seat stadium somewhere in western sydney (either to upgrade an existing ground or build a custom new one) that would hold Parra/Penrith/Wests Tigers games in the future. He mentioned a hypothetical that if he was to play all Panthers home games out of Homebush based on current membership numbers the club would make double what it does than playing at home mainly from corporate hospitality. He said he doesn't want to move but sometime down the track the NRL will investigate a one stadium policy.
Cheers
Matt
