Considering the hysteria the week after the Saints and Souths match...how Dean Young was 'dead' and would never play again and that GI was akin to Hitler, Stalin and Skase rolled in to one...
Apparantly Mini didn't get suspended due to the wrong charge been sanctioned...
Both deserve suspensions
Anyone who attempts a shoulder charge and hits the head deserves what he gets..
Anyone doing what Mini did deserves to be suspended...
Never said Inglis shouldn't have been suspended (though I do think, as a precaution, the NRL should have politely told St G-Illa to 'rest' Dean Young for 2-4 matches, as a 'precaution' to placate those worried mums and dads out there. Not a good look going off in a neck brace on a medicab and delivered his last rites only to bounce back the very next week [and put an awkward 'high' shoulder charge on Billy Slater...but that's another story]).
Mini should have got at least 3 weeks, if not 6. An elbow is an elbow.
As my wife says, 'it's never [insert player's name here] go'...but once they do it...it is their go.
I would think that he was diagnosed a while back not just now considering the post states he has had 2 ops, not a great thing to have especially when you've just signed on at the Sharks in a new career move.
Good luck Luke on fighting this bastard of a disease and good luck on your career at the Sharks.
Barrett's reputation as an up-and-coming coach is growing and there's a chance he could pick up an assistant role next year, possibly under former Blues coach Ricky Stuart at Parramatta
