No need to get so touchy Ross. Im not trying to make an argument about anything - just mentioning things that are pretty well known in the media. One GF in 30 years for the greatest most successful team in the comp is horrible - and Doust has overseen a major chunk of that.

And you right - Tinkler will only end in tears with the Knights - at least the club was smart enough to insert clauses that they can buy the club back for $1 if certain conditions are not met.

Look at the bright side though - at least we are not Parra supporters.

Rumour is that Ricky Stuart is in the process of finalising a 3 year deal to the Eels today.

Sources expect him to be unemployable in rugby league within 18 months

I thought I was just being passionate not touchy and outlining some hard facts, I personally think Doust gets a bad wrap from people who know nothing of the internal runnings of the club. Under performing on the field is not his problem, the sides we have had, as you mention, should have won us more comps, but Doust isn't on the field making tackles and taking hit ups, the squads he has given to the coaches have been better than most clubs.

Off the field he has successfully merged two clubs together, got state funding to develop two grounds (where many clubs can't attract any), has attracted great sponsors...including new ones like Alfa Romeo etc etc
