What does everybody think of the second NRL release for 2008? I see this set being the best rugby league cards ever produced and I can't wait for July 28 (Only 22 sleeps to go ) It is also GREAT to see North Sydney (my old team - Go the Bears ) Western Suburbs, Balmain and Newtown represented and have, what will be, extremly rare and valueable cards and to see the past legends given centre stage.

I have not been this exited for a long time and can not wait, bring on July 28!!!

I think its gonna be a great set, i would LOVE to buy a case but its not gonna happen so the wife says...........so took the info to my local newsagent and he is getting me two boxes and 2 albums (hopefully), it would appear i have a few live box breaks coming this month.........

I will be getting 2 Cases and the Master Series Set :v:. I will be going to my guy tomorrow (he gets me whatever I want and only charges me cost price) to let him know whats going on (I told him I wanted a case and a half, now he will have to order more - 3 cases and he will give me his case card )

I was really starting to loose faith in select after there effort in recent years but thankfully they prooved me wrong with this one. What a sensational set. I cant wait. Bring on the immortal sig redemptions. O yeah.

The Immortal Signature redemptions will be fantastic, but the one I am over the moon about is the North Sydney Bears Prize Card - cant wait to get mine, Bring on the Bears!

You get a premiership redemtion card as well as the 2008 Captain Signature Redemption if memory serves me right, its written in the info in that newsletter

man oh man i am so damn excited about this set release i have no words for it, master set is gonna cost an arm and a leg to complete, but the future value, WOW. I found a sell sheet on ebay and decided to post it here for everyone to see and salivate over, cheers guys, let the chase begin, July 28th

I dont think it will be that much, u can pick up a case of the cards for about $1800 that will give you an almost complete Master set.

This is what you will receive from a case:

3888 Cards in total, meaning this breakdown:
3711 Base Cards (199 Cards in set, so approx 18 sets)
54 Holographic Club Logos (16 cards, so over 3 sets)
54 Past Heroes (32 Cards, so about 1.5 sets)
36 Team of the Century (18 Cards, so 2 sets)
12 Team of the Century Foil Signatures (18 Cards, so need 6 to complete)
12 Immortals (7 cards, so 1.8sets)
6 Immortals Sketch Cards (7 Cards, so need 1 to complete)
2 Prize Logo Cards (4 Cards, so need 2 to complete)
1 Immortals Signature Redemptions (7 Cards, so 6 to complete)

Meaning that you need these cards:
6 Team of the Century Foil Signatures (approx $20-50 each)
1 Immortals Sketch Card (approx $40-80)
2 Prize Club Logo Cards (approx $50-100 each)
6 Immortals Signature Redemption Cards (approx $200-500 each)

These are just my guesses but based on that you could pick up the master set for about $4000 probably a little less, plus if you trade / sell any of the doubles and extras you get from the case you are looking at a hell of a lot less, probably closer to $3-3500.

Of course this is all just guesses and we wont really know until they hit ebay and people start bidding on items, but I think because there are 10,000 boxes being released they have lessened the value of a lot of these cards, but we will see soon enough, I still can't wait

Just an update, The 2008 NRL Centenary will be released early August not 28th July Due to production issues.
