Love the break down!Every case is a risk and reward. You could hit the jackpot with the best case hit there is or get zilch!!
Some of the earlier cases like 06 Invincible were very much risk or reward. You got sometimes jag two redemptions a case or none.
To invest several thousand into your collection at once you should really do the research and work out what you want for your PC. Do you just want Storm cards? Do you want to master set a release?
If you are like me and love busting boxes then a case is great but if you want to add high end to your PC take the advice of @Parrapaul and buy single cards. Certainly less exciting but will bolster your PC!
If I were to buy a case I would look at 05 Power as you have a 1:72 (Inspirations) which now fetch north of $80ea and two signature redemptions per case which could include Slater (his first high end), SBW or Artie. Great TP’s also with Hoffman, Marshall & Soward among them. The cases were quite consistent with ratios, only drawback is the winning predictor (Tigers) is not able to be redeemed for the mini premiers set.
06 Invincible, great product, Legend Die Cuts are 1:72 and hold value. Daley & Johns redemptions but also risk Tim Smith. Inglis TP and some other good ones but high numbers (/500). Ratios all over the place in this release.
07 Invincible, no mid range hits but Cam Smith & Hindmarsh case hits are good.
08 Centenary. Greatest release ever, enough said and this product will only increase in value.
09 Classic, great product. Good TP’s, chance for Lockyer or Smith Captains sig /50.
11 Strike is a great looking product but lacks that 1:72 hit. Good high ends though.
12 Dynasty, great product with the LLB but risk of a Stewart or DCE high end and market is full of Dynasty at present.
got that one, but it is number 36, not a low number. If you have a 2007 Cam Smith Invincible Redemption I shall come knocking.
good call Brendan, agree with the stats.Every case is a risk and reward. You could hit the jackpot with the best case hit there is or get zilch!!

Love the break down!
Thank you, love busting boxes, the nastelgia... great feeling lol
- Centenary scare me if you pay the extra and get the printed Sig!
All part of the game thought
I'm in the boat of buying high end cards of your team for the personal collection.
If I was to bust a case it would be 2008 Centenary. Yes your a one in 7 chance of hitting the Churchill printed signature but the others 6 Immortals signature cards are among the most expensive / valuable signatures of any. I would say though that only the Immortal signatures are holding value the rest of the Centenary set have been loosing value like the rest of the NRL cards but maybe slower.
Good luck with your decision.
Cheers
Ross
Ouch I didn't think the case cost had gone so high, possibly cheaper of Ebay where the seller doesn't have to pay the fees.Agreed mate
even the Churchill will still fetch $450-$500 on a bad day so not terrible but id imagine a case would be about $2500 nowdays?
Other immortals are $550-$1000 depending on the card and market so still not brilliant value
checked ebay... $3200 a case..

I take most notice of the Dragons trio when they occassionally come up and they always seem to be towards the top end $800 -$1000 and sometimes more.

was that Robbie you spoke with.I managed to get a hold of Select in regards to what NRL cards can not be redeemed anymore.
I was advice over the phone that all cards are still can be redeemed across all years and all set via what you stated. 2005 Premiership 3 card set of West Tigers. However all the top try scorers are still available. Hope this information helps other members. The lady did advise me and said feel free to call back up if you are about to buy a specific redemption and she will double check, so we don’t waste money on a Unredeemed Redemption card.
No idea, it was a Lady, seem helpful and nice over the phone and was happy to answer any questions.was that Robbie you spoke with.
that sounds like her, she has always been like that.No idea, it was a Lady, seem helpful and nice over the phone and was happy to answer any questions.
