why the hell are the cowboys and parra in the rtf set, should be tigers, dragons and maybe warriors, have they not even looked at the table for the whole season.
All this time and a still wanting to go with what they think and bugger the obvious.
.
They dropped in value like parra down the ladder , hate to see what 5 extra parallel sets will be selling for in a few months ?In saying that I liked the look of last years mojos .
Sounds like it ??Explains why it was the 3 storm players from last year and not from different clubs . Would of been nice to get a last auto of the players that are retiring
This is exactly why the American companies get all of the players to sign thousands of sticker autos........they can invest in the "content" and use it on essentially any product they want over a number of years and a low cost.
Say they get a player to sign 1000 stickers in one sitting.......and only use 100 stickers a year? Thats 10 years of content for the player for the cost of one signing session.
And they can whack stickers on anything, even if the player changes clubs its not an impediment.
If they have stickers left over, they could have done a Storm Legends Triple Auto Card using the stickers.......probably the only way they would get Smith/Cronk/Slater all to sign the one card now!
Considering the somewhat arbitrary selection for the box commons of just grabbing the last player alphabetically resulting in a mixed group of players - some popular players and club captains for some clubs with players already gone like Woods for others meaning that some of these are going to be much more popular and the others will be very hard to move...
Also if they intended to do commons as box cards they probably should've not restricted them to the dealer boxes. A lot of collectors who aren't as tech-savvy will probably have no idea how to get the "secret commons."
I think realistically maybe 50 to 75 common sets will be in existence taking into account most collectors are TEAM collectors nowadays & they would put together as many of their team base card sets as possible.

I just hope we don't see the dealers get screwed over with the box cards, by that I mean ESP might change their mind if the backlash is harsh enough and reprint a heap of the box cards IOT allow collectors to make their team sets. The price will fall out of them if that happens.

Yes but the box cards have NEVER been a common card numbered as part of the common set so I don't think the tradition view of a box cards works with this set.

That is true, but I honestly don't think there are too many Elite master set collectors nowadays. Even interest in common sets will dwindle because of the decision which means less demand and probably lower prices.
