NRL 2003 Scanlens RETRO..

This has probably been discussed before. But here it goes.

2003 Retro Scanlens. Who has them?.. Who has a team set?.. What are your overall opinions on the cards and their current value status.. And how much would YOU pay for your teams set?

I don't have a set.. I don't even have the cowboys versions.. I have an issue paying $125 for a card that isn't even signed.. I don't care how many of them there are!!.. Having said that.. I WILL get the cowboys set one day..

I have set #18/60. They are still available on the Select website for $3750. So that works out to be about $120 per card roughly.

I know of at least 5 sets that have been broken up making them even more rare. Get on board Noark-99!

The only thing i object to is I think for the $2500 i spent on them Select could have at least come up with a ****ing folder for me to keep them in.

An undervalued and underrated set imo, I guess alot of people feel the same way about no signature=no value. I would love to get the Sharks ones in low serial numbers.

snap em up thats a good BIN price I reckon. cards are matt type finish on thick cardboard. slightly smaller than usual size. they are like a 63 or 64 card

I agree with parrathruandthru - that is a good BIN price.

I dont think Craig has realized what Select are now selling them for.

I will get the bulldogs set, BUt will NOT pay the $125 per card

They're ok. I really like the Andrew Johns one though because they chose a great photo for it.

I think I paid $250 for the Johns and $100 for the Ben Kennedy when they first came out. I'd hope those two had held their value, although haven't kept an eye on them for a long time.

I have seen Andrew johns go for 300 and 510 a highly collectible 2003 scanlens

The Johns one has a great photo on it ... It's an un-Select like pic in that it isn't just a generic snap, the player is showing some emotion!
