There were a couple of drunk fools in the crowd and Thommo did get a bit of aggro going with someone telling him "I've paid my money, so you have to listen to me", which was completely unnecessary. Also the attendance was pretty poor, so I'm glad I went, as I doubt he'll be back in my home town anytime soon!
Pity about the attendance. Would love an opportunity to see him. Thanks for sharing this with us. Hope his world cup pick is on the money.(you should let your shirt hang out like Thommo).
Great work mate, he is a down to earth bloke and doesn't suffer fools maybe Messers Taylor Border and Waugh should speak to him first when they conduct their investigation into Australian Cricket.
Very well done Naim.
It is great to get some real feelings from these guys.
I saw Thommo bowl at the MCG and you could smell fear coming from the batsmen. LOL

Man, I wish I had let my shirt hang out. I had gone straight from the office in my work uniform and I'm pretty sure as laid back as us IT guys are, the company would frown on shirts out. They may change their minds when they see my pic from the event (not with Thommo unfortunately) in the local rag
@Nathraider - yeah the part when he said he scared the sh*t out of them was well received by everyone. He's such a straight shooter.
He really took the piss out of his mate Len Pascoe. Called him a "Mad Yugoslav". Said that Pascoe would make a lot of stupid comments without realising it. A few of his anecdotes about Pascoe were really funny, but difficult to repeat as "you had to be there" if you know what I mean. One anecdote he told about Pascoe was that they went into the dressing room where there were some bats to sign. Pascoe put his signature on the bat upside down. Thommo said to him "Hey Len you've signed upside down on this bat". Pascoe responds "How do you know it was me?".
Another interesting piece of information he passed on was about the West Indian players. He said that hitting them on the body was more effective that on their heads. He said they would go down to the ground in pain if you hit them anywhere on their bodies, but hit their heads and they'd be right as rain.
The only thing I'd like to say is if Thommo thinks Warner could crack it @ Test Cricket then I am not putting a whole lot of faith in his opinions on who has and hasn't got worthwhile cricketing abilities. That said, I loved watching him and rate him highly as one of the great fast bowlers for Australia!
