Man, what a day! Went to No Sleep Til Perth yesterday. It was insane! Really good crowd, albeit a mixed genres one. Metalheads and Punkers as well as your usual blow ins who dont really fit into either mold. It was incredible. I was there for 2 bands... GWAR and Megadeth.
Front row, on the rails and right in the middle is where I stood for GWAR. Now if you know anything about these guys, you know that if you stand there, you WILL walk out covered in fake semen, blood, pus, bile and spew. Needless to say, I looked like I had just taken a swim in a coloured pool. It was awesome fun, and those guys put on a great stage show. 16 years I have waited for this, and they have never been to Australia in their 25 year career.
It was my 3rd time seeing Megadeth, and they played better than ever, especially with Dave Ellefson back on bass. Words cant describe.
