Seems all the luck from grading has gone to Mr Hill and the rest of us get those graders having a bad day. Just got this back after sending it for a regrading because I thought the grade was hardly done by. Card is sharp and back clean. Can't figure out why this didn't become a really nice psa 7 for the life of me :smt017 A Mr Pettit RC.

Hey Mr Grader! :butthead:

hey at least you get a mailday 2day. stupid queensland public holiday. and i have to work which makes it worse

Not the mail I wanted Ducky. Been expecting another card that has yet to turn up :-(

And G it wasn't re slabbed. Thats the original psa 6 and I only wanted it done if it would get a psa 7 or at least a chance. I guess not??

chad perhaps the surface is bad on the front?
the card looks great to me (centering is 100%) and im surprised as to why it is only a PSA6

Centering is off 60/40 on the front up and down and a little worse being 80/20 side to side on the back but that counts for less.

No visable surface faults I can see in the holder? Slight chipping on the back like most 57's but thats common and again on the back so it should count for less. I guess they see that otherwise.

Might send this in to SGC with my next grading and see what it gets. I guess in the end its almost going to cost me what a psa 7 would cost LOL

Still i feel hard done by :-(

So what happens Chadly, you've got it slabbed as a 6, and can get it re-slabbed IF it would be given a better grade?

Does it cost if they dont re-grade it?

Looks sweet non the less!

Yeah it still cost me. Don't know exactly as I piggybacked Ryan's order but if it does't meet the next grade up then nothing happens.

this is probably a dumb question, but can you ask for a report to why it was given a certain grade?

With BGS they don't even give a report. (see below pic) its just a piece of paper with some lines on it. I couldnt even see what the hell they were talking about after looking at the paper and then looking at the card.

The BGS 9 is going in my next lot to PSA - if its on the back it matters far less to PSA and might make another PSA 10 - one peeled and one unpeeled

thats ridiculous, for the money you spend you should recieve a detailed report on what grade it recieves and the reasons why, that should be the minimum.

It was before I was concentrating on PSA cards, I was actually hoping for a BGS 9.5 and they reckon it didnt make the grade. The other BGS one was was a BGS 9 and they say (from the little piece of paper) that there are two marks on the back - now stuffs me what they are actually referring to on the back because I cant see anything and ive looked with a magnifying glass.

In hindsight, im kinda glad it didnt crossover

Must be the same marks that apear on mine ;-)

Maybe the grader has scratched up or dirty glasses on?

I got a psa 1 in the mail today G LOL. Or at least thats what it would grade. hehe

Chad maybe the person that re-graded the card had a bad day and wanted to take revenge by not giving the card a higher grading.

Makes you wonder what grade youde get if it was resent in ??
I know its not worth it due to the silly prices they charge..
Bad luck there mate...
Graded 10s would have to be pretty rare on that particular card i would think?

ps...damn funny chad
Hey Mr Grader!

Well there are no 10's and only the one psa 9. That shows you how much my grade up to a psa 7 can make such a huge difference. A psa 10 would be worth aprox $30,000US +.

In fact there is only ONE psa 10 of any 1957 topps!
