Haha massive bug... you should of seen the misses when i told her .... but she was surprisingly receptive... she like better then wasting money on other things.... I'll start doing to photo bucket shots tonightWelcome Dylan...... also set yourself up with a good photo bucket so people can see what they like of yours and it helps with trades. You have already spent $400.... hahah you have got the bug mate!
They should be arriving though this week ... I know already that I didn't really go too good I just dove in ....great to have new collectors on board! would love to see what you spent your 400 on!
Love melo stoudmire... Granger .. Patty mills lolknicks would be a good team to pc, what i do is each year i pick a new player to pc 2 years ago i started pcing k love, then last year it was tyson chandler. next year im not sure who i will go after but i guess thats half the fun, which players do u like?? cant wait to see cards!!
Yeah.... I think I'll try OKC ....Kevin Durant will be expensive but I'll push through.... Spurs are goodIm pretty new to the NBA collecting thing too but have opted for the Spurs since they are my team. Thought about going for a player but all the players I was interested in were spurs ones so figured it better to just collect them
Mate you have hit it spot on with that and got me thinking I like retro cards and odd cards.... I like OKC so I think one of there young bigs would be good...In my opinion, you need to ask yourself why you are collecting. Do you like the look of cards? you want autographs? you idolize a particular player? you just want to kill time?
Either way, I would recommend you to start small with a specific goal, like collecting a player or a set. Player collecting can become extremely addictive as you keep buying every card that was ever made. You should always choose a player that is affordable to your budget. Guys like Lebron, Durant, Jordan and Kobe are popular choices but you will find yourself paying a lot for some not so special cards, which can be quite disappointing since you may have spent a lot of money but still don't have much to show for it. I would pick a semi-star who looks solid enough to be around the league for the next 10 years, someone who can put up consistent double digit scoring but not receiving too much fanfare.
thanks dude.... yeah I love okc ... I know what you mean about over whelming.... what do you mean by PC players??? Sorry I'm trying to catch up with all the lingo and abbreviations... what are some ....Hahaha welcome mate and GO OKC haha!!
Yep..... you need to focus on something I think. Certain player(s) or some set chases. Agree with others that even when collecting a player it can become overwhelming if you're trying to get everything out there, as it is neverending. That's why I try and focus on the earlier year cards of my PC players first and foremest before I worry too much about all their other cards.
Whatever you decide, best of luck and welcome to the hobby!
