Hi all.
My name is Jake.
I was a big collector of Shaq and Kobe from about 5th grade till I graduated High School. At that time I sold my collection(which I somewhat regret now) and gave up on Card Collecting.
A little over a year ago I got the urge to buy some cards, and so I did. Since then I started a Kobe Bryant PC again, but eventually sold it all and now collect Bobby Phills and Lamar Odom. I feel I have a nice collection of both players, and am always looking to add stuff I do not have. I have always been a fan of the older cards from about 1996-2000. That was when I collected heavily and I really enjoyed the beautiful inserts and cards that were produced during that time. Game Jerseys and Autos were just creeping onto the scene, so there was still a lot of focus on beautiful cards such as Skybox Rubies, Ultra Platinum, Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems, and such rarities as my avatar, APEX Xtremes 1/1. That card is also my favorite in my collection. I enjoy buying late 90's boxes when I can afford it to hopefully pull some Phills or Odoms I don't have.
I have been reading bits and pieces from this site for a while and figured I might as well sign up for it and be a small part of it. I am also a member on SportsCardForums, and look forward to getting to know some of you and chatting about cards!
