Anyone seen these in nz?

They could be fake and just photoshopped for all i know but the fact that they were /210 numbered at the top made me think the were new and real?

Just photoshopped I believe.... in the old sets they had numbers like 5/210 which meant that card was #5 in the set.

Here is a real card from that era...

Good year that year 1991

Cheers

They look AWESOME!!

I love nod-backs to retro designs, those look quality, although definitely bootleg. I would be stoked if ESP released these (all commons only) in packs. Maybe a retro series with a packs of 7 commons all from different years...ahh dreams are free.

Shortish print (all numbered (200ish of each common) and a massive commons set (up to several hundred) of contemporary and past players...awmgawd I'm frothing at the mouth

That's sort of what I suggested a while ago in the parallel debate ... rather than pretty much identical parallel cards, why not have a parallel retro set, much like these. Could use a different photo from the main set, and they would be quite easy to design because you wouldn't need to cut out the players from the background.

It would really add a pretty cool flavour to each pack you opened, I think.

Didn't Select do something similar in the 2000's?

They do look good, fairly recently produced as the Sharks have only gotten a sponsor in the last 3 or so weeks ago, on the Original Stimorol set the white space was for autographs while these ones have stats, what does the reverse of the card look like, will someone ever produce a set like the old days where the reverse side made up a huge Grand Final scene like a jigsaw puzzle.

Now that would be awesome
