Sounds like you got a blaster box. If you are after game used (jersey) or autos they probably aren't in those you'll have to go the extra $$ for a hobby box. If you are looking to put together base/insert sets though they are good and always fun to bust packs.
most boxes do. look for hobby. then decide the year you want to check out and your budget. some are expensive for only a few cards (high end) while others offer more packs where you can get base/inserts/game used and autos a few per box
Depends what catches your eye I guess! There's non numbered and numbered, just an auto or auto with a piece of game used (GU) too. On card, on sticker, rookie autos, veteran autos. You're right it is crazy!
Hi mate - it's a crazy rush in here of advice. @GarnettFan4Life is right - box busting is great fun and can yield some awesome hits for your personal collection, or to use as trading for others.
My 2 cents is to stick with recent collections from 2013-14 and if you're after Knicks, maybe stay clear of SP Authentic as it's a College Jersey styled set - great for early player shots, but not as much fun for a new "Knicks" Collector. It's really up to you though - that might be what you're into?
Grab a few boosters from around the place and find the style you like - then go grab some boxes of that.
Wouldn't be a post without mentioning that i've just added a nuts Earl Monroe 3/5 2013-14 Sultans of Springfield (from the Crusade set) signed with Red ink.
Can also put together some base cards and cheap inserts if you'd like to start a mini collection for next to nothing.
For NBA jersey on players yes. You can still buy singles of older cards from Upper Deck, Topps etc online and Upper Deck has college uniform card releases
Panini and Upper Deck are the most common with a bit of Topps also - personally i like both, but would recommend maybe 2013-14 Panini Crusade as a good strating box with nice inserts
@cherrycollectables are great! Just took an order from them myself. Look in the Forum for NBA Live Box Breaks too, some good fun to be had participating in Cherry's breaks.
