Yo guys just joined, ive been collecting a few cards here and there for the past yr but now im looking to probably start a collection. Probably Pistol Pete Maravich absolutely love the player or Scottie Pippen, love him too haha.

Ive had a look at your grabs, none of you guys seem to keep them in a folder, which I currently do, is that bad practice? and whats a better alternative?

Hello and welcome to the site! Folders are fine for cheaper common cards in my opinion, and more expensive cards can go in a sleeve, then top loader or straight in a magnetic holder. Always use the appropriate sizes for the thicker/thinner cards. Pistol Pete is a cool choice but there isn't a whole lot of his new stuff around so you may have to resort to vintage stuff which may be hard to tell if its in mint condition just from pictures.

Ahh okay yeah thanks guys I'll try and get a couple magnetics, I'll keep the folders for my commons, and yeah the Maravich stuff does look hard to come by, thats why I was maybe thinking Pippen another favourite since there seems to be a lot more stuff for him.
PS do you put the card with a sleeve into the magnetic? or just the card straight in?

Mate i strongly suggest that you DONT collect pippen. Pistol is ur best choice. Pippen was hopeless, couldnt play and suffers from bad migranes. Yes he may have CARRIED the bulls to 6 championship rings but that means nothing!!! everyone who collects pippen deserves to be shot. i STRONGLY suggest you dont collect him. STROOOOOONGLY suggest it!

Ahaha , Tell that to all the guys he gave facials to . But you dont have to worry about me lol, I highly doubt ill be competing with you for most of the cards with my current "allowance" lol.

i think he's facialed every persons favourite player on here (except urs and mine of course).....yeah, the dreaded allowance. my gf keeps asking if i keep to mine. little does she know about the undeclared funds from keno/pokies/horse winnings....gotta love the old "sock" fund
