Hey guys, I am travelling from Victoria to the Gold coast and am going the costal route. Anyway, I am wondering if I can stay on the freeway through or around Sydney or do I have to travel through smaller streets? (ie- on citylink in Melbourne you can trevel on the freeway the whole way and not have to get off) Thanks!
Sarg,
I've never driven to or from Melbourne, however if you are coming up from the south on the M5 you can follow it along the M7 which takes you right around the outskirts of Sydney and will join you up with the M2 which you can take to get off at Pennant Hills Road which will then take you onto the F3 north out of Sydney.
Its not a cheap piece of road to drive along but youll be doing 100 the whole way.
the other alternative is you hop off the hume I think it is, just near liverpool....then that links to the cumberland highway...on to old windsor rd/james ruse drive, "back on" to the cumberland highway (its frustrating what they call these streets around here!) then you end up on pennant hills road to head towards the F3
