Need OZCARDS assistance!!

Hey all -

I have to commit selling suicide and admit that Its almost at the fire sale stage!

I've never done this before, but I suppose there's a always a first time for everything.

I need to come up with another $130 USD quick smart.

Please if youre interested in any cards - even if you pm'ed me before, now is definitely the time!!

Its complicated and involved - It wouldn't achieve anything to go into here.

I really cant blame the guy though - We all want as much as we can get for our cards. Best of luck to him.

I'm pretty disappointed but hey - I look at it like this:

It gives me time to put some $$$ together to chase a Logoman if and when one surfaces

That's cards I guess - sometimes you get em - sometimes you miss out. It wasn't through lack of trying though! lol

Just to explain, cos I feel bad enough about this as it is.

Yes this was my card for sale, I pulled it a couple of days ago from SPX. I emailed Ryawil with an offer of what I would sell the card for. He emailed back and said he would like to pay slightly under that, which is all fair cos we were negotiating back and forth. While I was thinking about it I took the card off ebay cos I was sure it would be an off ebay sale cos I had alot of offers coming in for it. About half an hour after I took it off ebay I got an email from a dude in US asking why, so I told him I was going to take an offer someone had made, and I SWEAR I didnt tell him how much. He emailed straight back with an offer alot more than what I had told Ryawil I was looking for. And about the same time I got the email from Ryawil saying the price that I had asked originally would be ok. So I then emailed Ryawil and said look I know this sucks, but this guy has come out of no where with a much bigger offer, and of course money is money. In my mind I didnt think I had settled on a deal with Ryawil cos he had counter offered slightly under what I had asked for.

Anyways, its a big soggy mess now. The dude from US has made payment through paypal. I emailed him last night saying I was pulling out of the sale, but he read my first email accepting the offer, made payment, then opened the one sale I was pulling out of the sale. Freak me.

Sorry if this is a war and peace novel, but Im only new to the site and didnt want bad rep to start up with. In the end I probably stuffed up, but live and learn. Hope this clears some stuff up. Cheers.

Its all good mate. As I said. Im glad you got a good price for the card. You've handled yourself in the best way you can. I'm certainly not going to hold it against you as I'm sure others here wont either.

Its just a card - I'll live

Sorry you didn't get it Ryan. But a logoman will surely pop up soon

And midnight_show, you handled yourself well. Highly desired cards can be hard to move, not because of the lack of want of it, but because of too much want! As was the case here.

This is a nice card, but it is exactly the same as the /25 version just with 1/1 printed. Although it is nice to have a one of a kind, there are 25 others that look the same.

I thinkthe 25's only have the 1 patch with 2 jerseys. The 1/1 is a triple patch

Didnt see the three patches. They could have put better patches in the second two panels for a 1/1.

Yeah youre probably right - but how many times do we see that? Heaps. Theres a fair bit of stitching in the last two windows which is ok I guess

Exactly what I was thinking.

Your intentions were pretty clear mate and it is admirable that you were going to opt out of that higher sale to help out a fellow Aussie.

But like you said money is money and I think you've got nothing to feel guilty or bad about champ, well done.
