Need advice on NBA

G'day NBA OZCT's.

I'm after some info on NBA cards due to me knowing exactly zilch about 'em. A mate of mine has a son who is absolutely fanatical about all things NBA. Being a card collecting junkie, I suggested a box of NBA as a Xmas pressie. I volunteered to get it for him.

Questions - what would be a good box to start out with? and where might I get the best deal on said box?

I buy NFL from Dacardworld and their service is A1, but is that my best option for NBA?
Any feedback greatly appreciated.

DACW is one of the best options for NBA as well, or you can speak to Mr Paparazzi, Dave @ Whodat or Terry and A1cardsandgaming!

But the biggest questions are, how much are you wanting to spend? And who does he want to collect?
 
I tossed up a "ball park" figure around the $100 mark. Postage is pretty steep with DACW but you know it'll arrive within days. As far as collecting goes, he's probably going to be happy with whatever comes out of any box - apparently knows all the players, stats, etc.

For $100, I think Prizm id the best buy in the market! Great looking base sets, parallels and a chance at a big hit!

If he wants BULK, then maybe Hoops would be ideal?
 
Also, if you want to shoot me a postage address, I can send you/him a bunch of base and inserts from all different sets too!
