Lets be honest, the depth of talent in the NBA is shallow. Super teams, or call them what you like, have control.
And we can't blame them, LBJ went to Miami as a free agent. Winning was more important than money. OKC have built that team from draft picks, amazing effort.
Miami and OKC will play each other in the finals.
For one very simple reason. Which team has the power to beat this team in a series ? Simple, no one. Let face it, you will have to go to Miami or Seattle and win a game and win all your home games. LOL, that's laughable.
I'm going to go out and say that OKC has the chance to remain undefeated until they face Miami in the Final.
In the Final ? I don't think either team has the ability to stop the other.
I'm interested if you disagree, if so, who beats them and how do they do it ?

The Bulls can beat the HEAT. They have the depth and match up's to do it. Deng is a good defender who can stop LeBron. Not fully stop him but stop him enough. Rose is a better PG then all of the HEAT's PG's. RIP Hamilton can put up points to match Wade. Boozer and Bosh are just about the same match up, decent defenders with tough shots to defend. And Noah's energy on D and on the Boards is better then what Joel Anthony gives the HEAT.

In the West, there is so many good teams, you never know when a team is going to come out of the blue, see: Memphis 2011 playoff run. We are only about half way into the season, so you can't be calling finals picks now because you never know what's going to happen with injuries, trades etc.

Injuries are the big mystery always.
Have to agree about the Bulls. They have depth, but for me it's little unproven. And certainly not their defence, I see their problem being getting enough spread on their scoring. They have a chance, but I see all teams in the East having to fight their way to the Finals. Miami has more strength at staying strong for longer.
Without a trade, and a big one, and you know who everyone will be looking at. No one in the West can touch OKC. KD could go on to be the single greatest player ever.
I'm a Heat fan, and I'm going to say that there's not a player in the league can guard him one on one. He's like Dirk and Terry mixed together.

Your joking...look at how the Spurs have came strong at the right time, and Pop, smartest coach in the L, resting his stars and giving young players a chance. Dallas are have so much experience and now they know how to get it done, so I think Dallas will come out strong in the playoffs again. The Clippers might surpise but I wouldn't find it a surpise...them chemisty that team has on court is one of the best! The Lakers are the Lakers, so you never know what's going to happen there.

Three of those teams have age against them and I think this seasons roster will start to hurt by June.
The Clippers with Billups, yes, yes for sure. But without, I'm sorry, that was a huge loss. I watched it happen, I find it hard to see why he'd be completely ruled out. If he gets back and plays like he was. They are dangerous to everyone.

Age = experience. Yer Billups is a massive lose...

If Rip can actually play in the playoffs without being injured then sure, the Bulls have a chance and I'd definitely like to see them in the finals over the Heat. Frankly they are the only two teams currently out East that have a shot at making the finals.

Out West, well naturally, no-one has a shot against my boys ;)

Spurs will crumble again like they did last season, Dallas will go back to it's old ways of underachieving in the playoffs (they let go their two best defensive players and their 2nd best bench player); Lakers with their current roster and the way Kobe is jacking up shots are even a factor anymore and will be a first round exit. Denver are the wildcard, expect them to do well, but not get past the 2nd round and the Clips, they will be competitive, but too early for them IMO.

I'm not sure if you did that on purpose or........!?

Pretty sure Miami would beat the Bulls In the playoffs and make It to the Finals ... West coast Is still wide open ... OKC Is the favorite ... but the Lakers are doing pretty good, the Mavs, the Spurs and Memphis. ... It'll be Interesting to see what happens. ... If Miami does not win this year, everyone will be back to laughing and doubting them. People say they would break the team apart, but I don't see that happening.

Agreed!

The Celtics are conserving their energy, sitting players out for "personal reasons", getting suspended, playing up the old guy factor and then come playoff time they will be fresh and ready to crush teams. Smart smart Doc Rivers :hearts:

... I'd love for you to be right Matt ! ... Miami & Chicago are just so young and full of energy ... this Isn't the Celtics of 3 or 4 years ago. Once they let Brian Scalabrine go, just hasn't been the same.

Tony Allen!!!! And could do with some younger legs in the middle atm Perk!!! :(

Obviously just joking about Scalabrine ... TOTALLY AGREE with you on Tony Allen ! ... But I love him on Memphis. He fits In perfectly. Boston changed to trying to win games with more offense than defense ... that's no bueno ... 2 GREAT ESPN games coming on In 30 mins ! Can't wait ! ... Love OKC ... But let's go Boston ! :kick:

And remember how the Spurs pulled off one of the worst ends to a year last season? :)

You can see players in Boston are frustrated.
They will finish in eighth spot and play Miami in the first round. Let say the beat the Heat, not saying they will. Just pretending, then they will play Orlando and lets say they beat them, again pretending. They would then play the Bulls who would have home court advantage.
Lets see, old legs after two bruising rounds against the best defence and fastest points ever in Chicago. The Bulls win 4-0. Boston's time as a 50% plus team are over.
Time to look for a rebuild, shouldn't have traded Perkins.
Sorry Celtics fans, sit back and watch OKC play, you'll enjoy it.

I think if u look at it...can Miami play any better than they have been? Can OKC improve? Will the other big teams out west rise to the top as they (LA, SA, Dallas) have done for so long? No doubt at this point Miami and OKC r looking good but to be honest i wouldnt suprise me if neither of them make it to the finals. The big question for me is the energy and injury after the shortened season with the back to back to backs and so on.

If u looks at it, the Lakers havent put it together at all this season but if they do they will there abouts. If Odom lifts to his play of the last couple of seasons that will boost the Mavs hugely. Derrick Rose will be farely fresh come playoffs as will the Spurs with the resting of Timmy and Parker and with Manu sitting out early.

Bring it on i say. Also long as someone from the west or the Bulls win it all i'm happy.

Could happen to any team. You never know when a team is just going to have a bad few games, it always happens.

Yeah, but it was first vs eighth!!!

Seems you have forgiven them.... I haven't!!

To be sure to be sure Celtics aren't looking good right now but in this crazy season in not writing off ANYONE who makes the playoffs! Stats don't mean shit! Just look at results so far! Im hoping for plenty of underdog and upsets in the playoffs!
