Naxcom question

Hi guys, i remember seeing something about naxcom on the forum b4 the server crashed and I wanted to know if any of you guys use the service and whether or not it's any good. There are a few cards on there i'm interested in but duno how good the shipping service esp. to Oz is. Any help would be appreciated! thanks ;)
 
I just registered and it says when you buy outside the US the items get shipped to Naxcom then they ship them to you at no extra cost. This seems a little odd to me that they would absorb the cost. I emailed them but am yet to get a reply.

Has anyone made a purchase?
 
My understanding is they do not ship international. I have had a friend purchase from there and ship them to him in the US, and he sends them on. (unless the rules have changed recently)
 
"When a non-US/Canadian resident makes a purchase, their item will be sent to NAXCOM. NAXCOM will then quickly ship the item to the buyer. (NAXCOM covers the add’l shipping cost). This offer is good on raw (ungraded) and/or graded cards only. International buyers are responsible for covering all shipping costs on wax boxes, sets, figurines, etc."

This just doesn't sound right....
 
Ahhh , well then it has changed. No it sounds right (how naxcom does it). They are acting as the middleman. Give it a try on a low value item if you like to test it out.
 
I think they only charge a 35c fee on items sold so they would actually be losing money which wouldn't make sense for a US company! I guess I'll find out when they reply and I'll post it up here.

Its just annoying me because theres a couple of cards I just want to click "buy"!

I've bought a few times through Naxcom and it has been a very good experience. It has been a little while since I've bought anything but it is correct that there is no extra charge for international shipping.
 
Do they contact you when they recieve the items and are sending them on? Because I don't see where I put in my address. Also if you buy a few things do they wait until they have them all rather than send individually?

International users have to sign up using Naxcom's address (9841 Airport
Blvd. #832, Los Angeles, CA 90045). The shipping you pay when you purchase
an item on Naxcom will only cover delivery to our office. We will then have
to charge you for shipping the items from our office to your international
address. We do not recommend that you sell items on the site because of the
delay associated with delivering items to the U.S. Please e-mail us your
address in Australia as soon as possible.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Whats the deal with that? When you register it clearly states nthey will ship the items to you at no additional cost!
 
copy the bit from the site and send back to them and claim false advertising, if they say that then dont deliver thats bullsh*t!

So even though it still clearly states it when registering they no longer cover it! Thats rediculous! I'm currently studying contract law and I know they cannot do that, but then again what can I do? Cause a fuss over a few dollars! Its just the principal....
 
exactly, its the principal...tell them you are talking to a lawyer and they need to update the f'ing page...idiots ;)

And if thats the case why not just make it like ebay and allow the seller to send straight to you...imean you have to pay the international postage cost anyway, why double handle?
 
They have recieved my purcahases and want $12 for the 14 cards I bought! This is absolute %#(%*#()!!!!! You can't have a disclaimer when registering that international orders will be shipped on for free and then not follow through. It was the ONLY reason I joined and made the purcahses. I'll wait until I have the cards then post on every card forum I find warning off international buyer's. Maybe that will hurt them a little!
 
thats bullsh*t, i'd keep complaining and complaing untill you get your way, thats blatent false advertising :(
