Nat Treasures 12/13 Thoughts???

Now last week when Panini posted those pics of some of the Logomen, I thought, wow, this stuff is incredible.

But now I'm worried they've pulled a swifty.

They released those pics and interest spiked (mine too).

It seems now the stuff has sold out and NOW they bring out the checklist (shouldn't that have been done weeks ago?).

If you check out the checklist, there is a lot of content (read plenty of junk).

The pics that were brought out made it seem like it was a Logoman per case. Which I'm now wondering how many cases there are because someone worked out there was around 480 Logomen in the product.

I think there is some amazing quality in this stuff and I'd love to jump in on a case break (Spurs) if possible.

What are peoples initial thoughts?

I'm confused as to why they have a 2011 rookie set and a 2012 rookie set?

The champion signatures look like the best set apart from the logomen

I thought it was because 12-13 products feature two rookie card classes; the Kyrie Irving 2011 class and Anthony Davis 2012 class as official rookies.

The 11-12 products don't have any official rookie cards as it was a lockout shortened season so the 2011 rookie cards were rolled into this season's products.

It is like any release you will ever see!

Some Good stuff, some great stuff, some average stuff, some absolute CRAP! lol

Pros:
I think it was around 570 logomen in the product, which I personally LOVE! (not just the high rollers that get to own them)
I like the Champions autos (like the BIG Kenny auto on eBay now)
The grouping of the Chamions Duo/trio/quads are pretty good for the most part and a couple of them would even allow me to overlook the sticker
Nice horizontally designed RAPs are back! I always liked the 09-10 over the 10-11
Notable Nicknames subset is back!
Fairly evenly distributed checklist as far as teams are concerned! (good for team breaks)

Cons:
Damn expensive
Causes too many people that expect to profit on EVERY break to b**** and moan more
Too many stickers
Mass exodus of Printing plates from Panini - all in one release and dating back to 09-10????
Kobe Anthology cards are included as one of the cards??
I'm sure that there will be more too, but it is not even released yet! lol

Like anything, you should look at the pros and ignore the cons! Focus on buying the cards you like, and leave rest alone!

From a box breaking standpoint I wouldn't touch NT. Way too pricey for the Meh designs and all the sticker autos.

Singles would be the way to go imo, the RAPs and Colossal sets are nice as with the Logoman sets but all the printing plates and dual sticker autos are a little average and there seems to be plenty of them per box .

The fact there is only 1 Aminu in the release, and it happens to be a logoman /5 makes me VERY happy, since he's only had 1 true logoman previously. I also see there is a Kemp logoman, which would be his first, but as its a dual logoman with Payton /2, I basically have zero shot at it unless I win the lotto.

To much of a hit and miss product. With the money you would spend on a box or case you are better off buying the singles you want.

I think Nick is attempting to sell his soul to get one of the dual kemp and Payton logo mans.

first reaction was way too many logomen.
Second reaction yeah nice patches.
Third reaction not for me.

Am i the only one that thinks LM's should be kept for the top tier players?
I mean its such a prestigious part of the jersey.
Patches and tags for scubs+ top tier
LM's for top tear + top maybe 1,2,3 rooks?

You can possibly pull a big hit that puts you in front, but most of the time you are better off buying singles! At least in NT you have the chance of hitting that 1 card that you can buy a new car with! lol

No Way!!!!!!! If they are only top tier players then people like me who collect Blair and co will never own one! lol

I've seen some pretty ordinary case breaks in the past. But that can be with any product. For instance I recently witnessed a 2 case break of GS with no Kobe or superscribe autos pulled!
