Yeah everytime I've had the chance to get one the seller with it has tried to lowball me as they know I really want it. I'd pay market value etc but still no luck. I'll try to do a deal with Dave in the UK with the DrJ listed for one but he plays hardball too wanting 1.5X market value as well.

I'll get one but will have to pay around $750US for it I guess. :o
 
A few years. The Bird/Worthy one was a white whale of mine for a number of years.

The bird and magic ones are in the beckett article of both of them listed as one of the top 10 cool and rare cards to own of each. They are pretty unknown amongst the core of collectors though. The Ewing is an XRC of sorts too.
 
Yeah Lippo vintage stuff in psa 9-10 codition sells for $40,000US. Mostly in Auction houses not eBay though.

Collectors would be surprised at vintage prices if they saw them as most are not on eBay. I'm just starting to get into the auction houses and its great fun! I have a bid of $235US on a 48 bowman celts common right now. Fingers crossed

A mate of mine recently paid $32,000US for a West psa 9 topps test issue! :o :o :o :o

There are no Havlicek RC psa 10's so if one poped up it would fetch $40,000US +!

The Bird prism is only worth around the $100US mark I would think.
 
The big ones show up at the big auction houses like sotherbys etc.

There are heaps of others that you can bid online and your bid is then included in the live auction when it takes place. These are the ones where you see great lots an Babe Ruths etc.

Yeah MARKET value of the ones I have is just over $700US now!

I wont even begin to tell you how much I paid for these. I knew how rare they were and jumped on them when I could before word got out.

Mine will be in shown in beckett when they get around to doing the story on them. These prices will help get the article put in quicker! hehe

Lippo, sort of. Just a thankyou for my bid and interest in the card, but he was not going to accept it.

I wonder if Chad will sell his collection for 1c???
 
I'm currently doing an off eBay deal to sell two of them right now. The Ewing and Thomas for roughly $200US. :D

I will make a tidy profit on those two. The Bird and Magic will stay in the pc forever though.
