These just came out (released by Ace). I personally think its a great idea and a good way to buy authentic signed balls. They are Ace Hidden Signatures, you buy them by the box (or 20 box case) and its random who you get.
The checklist of players is absolutely awesome with all of the All Time greats. I could probably count on 1 hand, players that i want that arent included, but apparently its only the first series :v:. I got these ones in the mail today with more incoming :D PS Its really hard to take good pictures of these but they look great in hand. :D Enjoy

While it's a nice idea, it personally dissapointed me. I'm aware of the fantastic list of players who committed to this, I simply prefer the card approach. Ace Authentic finally get some of the greatest to sign on for their card series but for a signed ball encased? Isn't my thing.

I like the look of them but...i dunno, It's alot cheaper for me to buy singles than getting this set. Also alot easier to store for me too. Hopefully Ace use the names missing from the previous years to make relic and auto cards.

hi

good to see people buying this stuff i wasn't sure whether to buy this or not considering they haven't numbered how many of each player signed so you don't know how signatures there are

i know they said they so like 800 or so products but didn't one player sign 200 tennis balls or how many but it seems that ace keep improving there product each year so good to see what they do with a second series of this product

I also prefer cards yet i do like the concept of signed balls. Ebay is flooded with fake autos and this gives piece of mind its authentic. Cards are my preference though, but i am 100% against sticker autos. I think they look horrible and imo sort of defeats the purpose of a signed card. The only oncard Tennis autos are from Netpro and i must say i love those.
Back to the balls though, im not trying to collect them all, im really only after about 20 or so (Favorite Players and the Aussies) I got 3 Aussies incoming but spewing there is no Pat Rafter in this set.

Thanks Guys for the kind words.......except one :lol:

haha i didn't mean they looked bad, i just wanted to do my best mcenroe impersonation lol

i like the idea though.

Oh  I get it.........sorry took it in a negative way, im a bit slow on the uptake atm. Nice one =D>

I got a new one in today (edited first post) My Favorite player of All Time, master of the lost art of Serve and Volley.....Mr Stefan Edberg. Speaking on Serve and Volley, still spewing there is no Rafter

Yeah they are great mate. im currently waiting on a marat 'slam racket' safin to add to my safin pc. And i agree 100 per cent these are heaps better then those stupid sticker autos. Maybe in the future they could number them.

Yeah Safin is definately on my wantlist. I agree they should be numbered. Would love to see your Safin PC. I almost had a crack at the Federer NETPRO RC auto that ended today. Went for a decent price, i showed great restraint though. =D>:(

Yeah the sticker auto's are not ideal, Netpro's approach was alot better (and quite possibly a better overall product with how much limited time they had) Honestly, tennis can become a big market but there's only one company producing, so they have the market.

We'll have to put up with sticker auto's until they change their mind (unlikely, they've always used them) or Netpro, Panini come back or someone new release a product. Personally, i don't mind the sticker auto's but yeah, Netpro handled it better.

I love Ace though, they've released some really great stuff but they've handled Auto's in a strange way.

Just wondering how you got these? Overseas on eBay or from your own box breaks? Ace Authentic cases and boxes are hard to come by here so you usually have to go overseas and pay ridiculous postage prices (a reason i loathe importing)

Nah i been buying the ones i want off Ebay. I have a wantlist of around 20, so in a set of 80 i would be 1 in 4 to hit something i want............I dont really like those odds.
I did entertain the thought of buying a case though, but thought better of it.

Is there an Ivan Lendl one, or Miloslav Mecir? The big cat was one of my favourite all time players, I played tennis since I was 3, and modelled my game on him. I remember him winning Gold at the Olympics

Yeah there's a Lendl but no Mecir. Never saw Mecir play but i'll probably watch his match vs Edberg at Wimbledon 88. I love Edberg and truely miss S & V.

michael chang aye, from memory wasn't that hewitt's first first big win just before he got recoginised in adelaide.

Too bad his career didn't take off too far.
