Took the day off work, by lunch time was glad I did as the friendly postman came a knockin with some presents to bust open!!
Enjoyed reading peoples post about their breaks, so here is mine, was gonna do it live but figured most are workin or on holidays...
My intention for buying the boxes below, purely and only to hopefully pull a higher end autographics card, steve or scottie would make me very happy man(as they normally sell for around $200US on the bay)
So on the agenda was:
96/97 Hoops Retail Series 2 18 packs
96/97 Skybox Hobby Series 2 24 packs
2x Hoops Hobby Series 72 packs
And the results are: (quite s**tty actually)
96/97 Hoops Retail Series 2 18 packs:
Barkley Fly With(acetate looks nice, but I already have it)
Hoops Rookie Inserts(Wright, Marbury and Kittle)
Starting Five Mydyess and Rider - I cant believe this is a 1:12 insert looks like a cheap ass subset card
Only 1 Kobe rookie...

In the 3 out of the first 4 packets
3 x Intimidator inserts (D.Robinson, Jimmy Jackson and Ghorge Muresan) was thinking maybe I got a insert riddled box, I thought desperatly wrong, is this was it no more inserts through out the box!!!
Could have got may be a Net Set, Thunder and Lightning a GOD DAMN autographics, but NO skybox was not nice to me...
Oh yeah, I did find one those Rubies cards a the bottom of the box - BJ Armstong

Hoops Rookie Inserts x 6(All duds with the exception for Camby)
Starting Five x2 Rice and Malone
Hot List Reggie Miller...
By this point Im thinking in almost 3 boxes the highlight is F***ING miller hot list with a poultry $8 BV and I already have this set
And then...I open the 2nd last pack to the box...I can see it, its an autographics card, can it be true "2 inserts with 1:72 odds in the same 36 pack box!!"
It is TRUE!!
But its Ed O"h my god your kidding me" Bannon!!! Which I HAVE ALREADY!!
So with one box to go, my girlfriend starting to wonder why I am so quiet(normally let some girly screams go when I get a nice pull) LOL
I begin to open my last glimmer of hope...and the here's how it went:
Hoops Hobby Series 72 packs
Box 2
Hoops Rookies x6(some more note worthy results, 4 duds and abdur rahim and fisher)
Starting five x2 Shaq and Penny(not bad...)
Hot List Mitch Richmond
and NO AUTOGRAPHICS!!!!!
But one with I completely forgot cam from this series, yes an insert with a print run of only 996(very short for this era) inserted 1:360 packets!!!
GRANT'S ALL ROOKIES!!
And it is none other than....
(not Kobe)
But Allen Iverson!!!
And a mild pitched sultry girly scream echoes through the apartment!
Man these cards look heaps nicer in person(i mean in real life than any pictures/scans) Will try to put a high quality scan up later
So overall, very disappointing, but the Iverson has made it a 6/10 experience(1 with out him)
And this now has invigorated me to try and complete this set(Grant's ALL rookie), I need 10 more so If any one has any lets do some business!!!
