About 2-3 weeks ago, it was a last minute decision that I would be able to go to the National in Chicago!!! I finally made it out to Chicago over this past week to attend my first ever National card show!!! It was nice to see different sceneary and a different city for a change. From all the people that I have talked to that have been to a national card show before I went to this one, everything they all said about it added up. It was so overwhelming with all the stuff that was going on at this card show and the stuff to see that anybody could last all day at this show or possibly a week LOL!!! I could go on and on about my experiences at the national but I got lots of scans to show for it and more then the usual since I ended up getting boxes at insane low prices and also obtained some other stuff via trades and from members that I have never met before that I know now lol. Alright here are the results I had at my first 2008 National in Chicago!!!:
I got a couple IP autos to show for it. One of them is for my Pistons set and this player did not show up to the Pistons 50th anniversary ceremony game last season as he missed his flight to get to it. Quite ironically, he was on time for this signing and not late which is usually his norm lol. I got this:
I ended up purchasing the cheapest VIP pass and since I did this stuff at the last minute, I was not able to get all the free autos that came with it. I probably would have if I was able to stay for the whole show and had enough time to prepare for it. At this show I was able to purchase an 8x10 of this player and got him as they were yelling the last call for him over the PA system:
That takes care of the IP autos I got at this show.
I still am collecting Tayshaun Prince. Here is what I was able to get for my Prince collection!!!:
Here are some other recent pickups I had at this show:
Got the Isiah in a trade and the Brady GU at the bottom left corner was only $7. I never seen a Tom Brady GU #'d go for that low of a price lol.
Now I will move on to my box breaks. Ironically, I was able to bust 6 boxes of cards at this show!!! Normally I am not able to get so many boxes but since the prices of these boxes were unbelievably cheap, I decided to give it a try at a few of them. The prices were much cheaper at this show then what I have seen at the Michigan shows and shops I been to. Alright here are the results:
First off not scanned, I did a box of UD 07-08 NBA RC Box set and got nothing really exciting worthy of scanning here but I did get base of players I will be saving for future IP autos I will do for the upcoming NBA season.
I did 2 boxes of 07-08 Fleer Ultra. Here were the big hits I had out of them:
Oh yeah and also this which is #'d to 99!!!:
I was also able to get around to a box of 07-08 SP Authentic. Nothing to exciting but I did end up pulling these:
That was all that came out of there as big pulls.
I also was able to get a box of 06-07 Topps Luxury Box. Here are the hits I had out of this box:

That is all from that box.
I decided to pickup a box of 06-07 UD Reserve yesterday after I got back from the Cubs game. I just opened this box up at home here tonight and here is what came out of this box:
then the excitment builds.....
Oh yeah I was also forgetting that I pulled this!!!:
That card is probably the best pull in my opinion I think I had out of all the boxes I busted at this awesome card show I went to in Chicago!!!
All this stuff my friends concludes the results I had from my first National card show in Chicago!!!
