So those of you that know me well know that there is one thing I really dislike, the colour pink!!!
So as motivation to my cricket club for our Pink Stumps Day event to be held this Sunday I said that if they raised our target of $700 I would dye my hair pink....
the buggers came through....
my new hair ladies and gents:
Now I just need to work some awesome trades or something so I have reason to immortalise this awful hair on youtube heh heh
Just an update, we raised a couple grand which is way more than we hoped so good and glad to help this cause!
Also, my team Launceston played against Ulverstone as the culmination today, 1 v 2... they bowled us out for 77, our lowest batting first this season.... we knew we had a game on our hands. Anyways we started okay knocking a few over, but then they had a good patch. I was brought on to bowl earlier than normal, and in my first over thanks o the awesome keeper, we had a girl stumped. Swinging momentum back our way, then the next over I knocked over a girls stumps, almost got a wicket maiden but final ball was edged through slip for 2. Normally I get two overs, and a max of two wickets. However because bowling straight is what I am good at, and stops were whats necessary I got a third over, again only 2 runs off it. Low and behold the two Tasmanian Roar state players playing with us told our captain to bowl me my fourth over... capped off the peformance with a third wicker, caught out. My best bowling figures, and yeah my tight bowling put the pressure on enabling us to get the rest we needed and we won... it was such a great game for the spectators, the team as a whole and for me
My club repaid my efforts in obtianing donations for raffle, selling raffle tickets, dying my hair this hideous colour, working hard at training, helping us win biggest game of seaosn... by kicking me off the team for being over bearingly nice, and because somebody flat out lied saying I bagged out my captain during the four hours I was subbed off... lucky me hey.
