my frustrations

hey guys,

im at work right now and thought id share my thoughts here.

Right now im the only IT guy for the entire organisation for a week while my boss is away on holidays.

Why is it that older ladies freak out over nothing with a computer? i mean GOD......so frustrating

"michael, my computer is down we cant work".....and all they did was forgot their password to login.....goodness me

this is not good for my looks either......i will go bald before im 26...

My gf and i are living with her parents to save for a house and for gods sake what are the chances of my gf's mum working at the same place as me? .........1 out of a 1000000......

im fake with my gf's mum all the time......i smile and say "hey how are ya?" but im really saying in my head "omg woman just i just cannt stand you id rather eat take away food than your cooking!"

so yeah im just getting rid of my frustration

Having to do some minor IT support myself, I know how frustrating and simple people can be.

The one line I always laugh at is when people tell me that "the whole internet is down".

No its not just our corporate network having an issue, its the whole world wide web has packed up and refuses to work.

Sure sounds plausible.

I think most people are; I know used to be.

I used to try and be good around my missus parents; believe me acting to be nice and all that stuff was hard work, so I gave up, about year after we started going out.

As I told my missus, I already have a mother and a father (and my father has remarried, so I actually have a step mother as well), so I don't need another lot to judge me and tell me what I'm doing wrong with my life, and either they will like me for the idiotic funny man I am or not.

Give that a try; although when you get kicked out of the house or arrested my strangling them, I'm not taking any responsibility

I'm living with my gf's parents as well while we wait out the final month of her work probation till the bank coughs up on a house. And people wonder why mother in law's have a bad rep? ha! Her chatter is becoming white noise to me now, bitch bitch whinge bitch....

I used to do the same job, but for lots of mechanics and people along the same way! MY favourite call was this:

Mechanic: "I've come back to my computer and theres nothin' on the screen mate! &^^*$% computers, they annoy the S&$# outta me, help me out here mate!"
Me: "Try moving the mouse around a little"
Mechanic: "Mate you're a legend, I woulda never thought of that!"

Hahaha that's a good one. A few weeks back I was talking to a guy at work over the phone who was having trouble on the computers and I told him to right click on the mouse and he asked what a mouse was.

LMAO!!!! Classic!!

I shouldnt laugh, I'm the 1st point of call for IT here too, while we have an IT Manager, he preferrs me to handle it all.

You'd be amazed on what callouts you can get!

I was talking through someone something once, and I told them I needed them to do exactly what I said... "yep, no worries".... we go 2, yep TWO steps, and I say "can you see such and such".... her answer, "no, where am I clicking again"....

Seriously, it's a real laugh sometimes. And thank God we have the "Gumboot Award" here, I certainly have a few people to nominate every now and then.

My favourite was a cordless keyboard.... someone changed the batteries, and now I won't work....

Me - "did you put them in the right way"

Them - "Yes"

Me - "wait on I'll come and check it out".

Goes to check it out, and the batteries were in back to front.... errrr....

As for working with your GF's ma.... I think you're on your own there mate, perhaps hurry up with the buying your own place, lol.

You need to come to a Pacers game and watch the new import Jameel "Superman" Pugh play...that take your mind off the gf's mum!!! He's been doing a bit of work with us here at WIN....great guy to talk to. (Not many people around that you can talk NBA with...and he knows alot of the players personally!!)
Type his name into Google or youtube....he came 2nd in the 2005 NCAA slam dunk competition and apparently has a 50 inch vert leap. Also played in the NBDL for the Dakota Wizards (who won the championship) but got cut early in the season.

i had a look and ill go to the game in Traralgon on the 16th - PACERS v Melbourne, he's not injuried or anything right? id love to see him do some dunks in the game and in warmups

Nah...he should be good to go!! Although apparently he jarred his knee whilst dunking for a news story we did a couple of weeks ago...but he's played since then.
