Here are my results from this NBA season before I joined these boards on here for January 2007. Enjoy:
Pistons vs. Celtics 1/13/07
I finally did my first graphing of the new year last night as the Boston Celtics were in town. This experience turned out fine the only downside was no Pierce and Szczerbiak. Although, I did managed to get every player that came out to warmup along with the head coach. Here are the results:
Pistons vs. Celtics 1/13/07
Celtics
Ryan Gomes 4 cards, 1 Celtics Shooting Shirt
Gerald Green 3 cards
Al Jefferson 1 card
Michael Olowokandi 1 card ("I am not Kendrick Perkins.")
Kendrick Perkins 1 card
Leon Powe 2 cards, 1 Celtics Shooting Shirt
Allan Ray 2 cards
Rajon Rondo 1 card
Sebastian Telfair 2 cards (I wish I had the Slam or SI Cover to get signed since I see him do a couple of those of each cover here at this game.)
Doc Rivers 4 cards ("You have to come to the next game in order to get me to do the rest of those cards.")
Alright that is it with this experience. There were only 9 players available for this team and I was able to get them all. This was not a bad experience. When I did them once here back in the 01-02 season, they were horrible. When I had help with them back in 04-05, my help messed up and they signed in a different spot. I finally was able to get it right this time!!! Okay my next game is suppose to be the Sacramento Kings next weekend but I will be taking a pass on them since I know that they are not that great at signing. My next experience for me will be for the first time ever, I will be doing NBA autographs over in Cleveland,OH!!! I will be doing the Orlando Magic over in Cleveland on Jan. 22nd. Thanks alot for looking!!!
Alright here is how I did pursuing an NBA team over in Cleveland,OH and back in one day:
Cavaliers vs. Magic 1/22/07
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, I made the trip over to Cleveland,OH to do NBA autos for the first time ever over in Cleveland!!! It is a 3 hour drive from where I currently go to school at here in Michigan. The drive was very interesting as when I got on this Toll Road called the Ohio Turnpike, I encountered all these Semis passing me. Yes there was quite a few state troopers out there patrolling that road and before I got on, word has it I found out from other drivers I knew that have been on there before that Ohio troopers are not to fond of Michigan drivers. Luckily I had the cruise control on but I am not to fond of all these bad semi drivers on that Ohio Turnpike. Well I did make it and when I got to Cleveland, I was able to find the hotel the Orlando Magic were at. I was able to do the Orlando Magic at the hotel and the game!!! Here are the results overall from the hotel and the game:
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic 1/22/07
Magic
Trevor Ariza 1 card (Since when did he become one per now???)
Carlos Arroyo 2 8x10 photos
Keith Bogans 1 card
Travis Diener 2 cards
Pat Garrity 2 cards
Dwight Howard 2 magazine covers!!! (As good as advertised still a great guy!!!)("Dwight, is there a chance I can get a photo with you?" Dwight: "Not right now I got to sign for these people." Me: "Is there a chance you could when you get done?" Dwight: "I will see I have to get these guys first.") (Well after he got everyone and I see him sign all the way down the line, HE PROCEEDED TO COME BACK AND I WAS ABLE TO GET HELP FROM SOMEONE AND I GOT A PHOTO WITH HIM!!! Once I get my photos developed, I might share my photo with him on here if I am up for it. I do nominate this player to be one of the top 10 best signers this season!!!)
Darko Milicic 2 8x10 photos (It's like my 15th time getting him lol...)
Bo Outlaw 1 card
Randy Ayers 4 cards
Mark Bryant 4 cards
That is all with my day here in Ohio. Despite the Turnpike traffic, and the Cleveland traffic, I still think I managed well. I just hope that Dwight Howard will never ever change his signing habits. This was a great day for me overall!!! Thanks alot for looking!!!
Pistons vs. Wizards 1/26/07
Tonight, I made the trip back up to The Palace yet again for another Pistons game. This time I had the Washington Wizards again. Everything got moved up today because they started this game at 7pm. I contacted the Pistons on Thursday to find out why they moved up everything and it was because they were trying to accomadate the tv schedules and stuff. Well when I got in the building and ran down to the autograph sections, I see the ESPN crews there. So I found out that ESPN picked up on this game. This night turned out to be one of my best so far at The Palace this season!!! Here are the results:
Pistons vs. Wizards 1/26/07
Wizards
Gilbert Arenas 20 cards, 2 Slam Magazine Covers!!!! (Easily another great NBA superstar signer!!! He is a signing machine!!! This player I would nominate for to be on the top 10 best signers!!! He at least signed 100s and 100s of autographs at this game.)
Andray Blatche 3 cards
Calvin Booth 1 card
Antonio Daniels 4 cards
Brendan Haywood 1 card
Antawn Jamison 1 card
James Lang 1 3x5 Index Card
Roger Mason 1 card
Darius Songaila 1 card
DeShawn Stevenson 2 cards
Alright that is all with what I got at this game. Getting Gilbert Arenas made my night as when he signed it felt like doing Frontier League baseball for me again. I saw the ESPN camera crews filming him signing autographs before the game. I wonder if anyone happen to catch that out of curiosity if they saw the game on tv tonight? Anyhow that is all I got to share with my night here at The Palace. Thanks alot for looking.
I don't think that is to horrible getting Dwight Howard and Gilbert Arenas in a 5 day span!!! I was glad that my decision to pass on the Sacramento Kings was one of the best decisions I made on my NBA ip autograph quest from this season. I would later find out from talking to other collectors that the Sacramento Kings really did suck at signing for the fans from the game I was suppose to do them at. Alright that is all from the month of January I have to share with you guys.
Next up I will share is the results from February 2007 which include; My 2nd attempt at Kobe and the LA Lakers, My unforgettable Spring Break trip to Orlando which included besides Mickey Mouse and Woody Woodpecker, a pursuit of the Detroit Pistons at the hotel in downtown Orlando and the Orlando Magic after practice. Also my overall day of NBA autographs in Orlando,FL. Thanks for looking!!!
