Morning all, another newbie

Although I'm not that old it seems everyone around talks about collecting for ages being from the 90s, I wish.
Anyway I'm looking to collect NRL & Cricket cards/ stickers from the 70s/80s to finish off some of my sets/ albums. Then I will be finally selling them to split the proceeds with my brother.
Particularly looking for '83/'84 scanlens rugby league stickers, have stickers to swap & '82 scanlens cards, also '83 cricket stickers with plenty spares to trade.
Any help greatly appreciated from young (myself) & old.

Peoples opinions will differ but in my opinion if your are only looking to collect to then simply sell off as sets to make some money I think you'd be best of just selling what you have, my reasoning; the 83/83 stickers will be hard to complete and you will probably pay a premium on those you need. The 80's sets and the 90's sets well these may not be so hard to collect but again I don't believe they will generate any more $$$ as complete sets. Any 1970's sets could cost you a fait bit to complete if in fact you can find the cards you need.

I think you will get better value and it will be a hell of a lot quicker, splitting up your sets into teams or even individual cards and stickers and just moving them on, otherwise you may still be trying to finish them when you are old......like me. Many collectors only collect their teams thus selling sets reduces the market you can sell too.

I think a 1982 full set in MINT condition will probably fetch you around $500?? Individual cards $2-$3 each and team sets about $25...(all approx of course). 1983 stickers $1-$3 each depending on player and team.

Any way l hope my ramble helps and I look forward to seeing what you have etc, as you can tell from my signature I'd be happy to take any Dragons stuff of your hands.
