MOney Order/Western Union Payment

Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if any of you have received payment from overseas (US) by money order.... Coz a stupid buyer sent me 2 different money orders, which are Western Union and Moneygram. Can u pls let me know where or how can i cash in the money order otherwise i'm gonna send it back to this buyer...

If you convince your bank to take it, they'll charge you at least $8 per MO and you could wait upto 4 weeks for the money to clear. Pain in the butt and I'm glad i haven't done one for a few years. I say RTS!

That will be a pain. The bank will charge you for depositing/clearing it. The only way we can get paid by overseas buyer is by Paypal or cash(at their own risk and I dont put cash in my auctions, only if they ask).
I had one sending me a money order and I returned it. I said "I only accept paypal and please read payment details in the description next time"

definately return it,last time i got a money order from the u.s,my bank wanted to charge me $45 to clear the funds and i would have still had to wait up to 6 weeks for the money to clear................i sent it back and asked him to pay via paypal

Return them to sender mate......they are NOT worth your time

If it is a Western Union Money Order, you can redeem it from a Western Union Authorised dealer. Many Newsagents (in Sydney anyway) are Western Union Agents.

Otherwise, there is a Western Union outlet in Australia and their number is in the phone book, so you can all them up to see how to redeem it.
