It can be taken the wrong way. It has been exploited by people calling it a Topps RC for Jordan. I jumped on board and bought some boxes of sealed Topps Archives and resold them for a profit on ebay.
In theory, you could say that the 03-04 UD Exquisite Base card for Jordan is an RC, because it's the first UD Exquisite release of Jordan. Just an example, but you get my drift.
No offense to WCG.. i think they are very unrealiable grading company reading by the label... it stated 1984 topps rookie.. that will exactly mislead the idea of 1992... topps archives...
but 5$ is a great pickup ..but not a steal.. i am just happy you get graded jordan card.. that's all good enough for me anyway..
nowadays, i am suprised to see many people try to misuse rookie card status on many cards.. On ebay, everyone's using RC if the player is from his rookie year.. that's so wrong. what's most of all, the market is also funny with that... ppl consider all the first year cards as RC and now even GUs, parallels and those autos are at higher price in players' rookie year.. so,the trend of card collecting is not doing so well... the manipulations and weakness of card companies obviously made current Marvin Williams' exquisite is more expensive than MJ's rookie.. even MJ's card is legit... it's crazy..
i am sure thr grading would of cost more than $5.
Do Topps have a Jordan RC ?
My interpretation is that the first card produced of a player in the NBA would be there rookie (correct me if i am wrong).
Yep. 1992/93 Topps was released before 92/93 Topps Archives. These days (since mid-to-late 90s), it would be classed as 93 Topps Archives, due to it's release.
