I thought about this after i missed yet another chance to see one of the bands i admire because i am one month short of being 18
Bands i Have Missed:
Dragonforce (were here on monday)
Megadeth
Anthrax
KSE
My Chemical Romance

and dont you just hate it when you miss a tv show you being looking foward to all week #-o

not fair, minors should be allowed to watch bands in pubs  ohwell one fukin month

Ahh nearly there young fella! i could always get into clubs when i was 16/17 coz i looked heaps older...had a full beard when i was 16 lol...damn italian blood

i hate missing the start of the basketball on ESPN coz they have changed the time it was meant to start or when u wake up expecting it to be on and some other crap sport is on

Bands I've missed:
Korn - being with Marilyn Manson, mum decided I wasn't allowed to go!
Blink 182
The Offspring
Beastie Boys
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Snoop Dog - hip-hop way overpriced when they come here!

Other stuff:
Wish I made an effort to see Hale & Pace
AND1

Stuff I did make it to! :D
2005 AFL grand final
Green Day - twice!
Jam session in the early 90's
Globetrotters in the early 90's
The Used in Sydney 2005 - Road trip from Perth!
Tast of Chaos 2005
Vans Warped Tour mid 90's - the only time it came to Perth!

Bands i regret not seeing:

ACDC
Rage Against the Machine (more than anything i wantd to see them live but they never came :( )
led zeppelin (before my time anyway)
wu-tang
spice girls  j/k

Bands/acts ive seen:

about every punk band that was around in the 90's, way too many to name, probably over 100.
billy connelly (worth every ****ing cent =D> )
pantera (on their last tour, about 3 weeks before they broke up)
fear factory
beastie boys
system of a down
queens of the stone age
soundgarden
pearl jam
jurassic 5 (one of the best live shows ive ever witnessed)
prodigy
slipknot
foo fighters
red hot chili peppers
been to about 5 BDO's, 3 vans warped tours, 3 indyfests, 1 summersault...so many many great bands!

damm JZA you been to fukloads of gigs. J5 are awesome =D> , but thats a massive call.
what were slipknot, pantera and fear factory like.

jvalles did you go to Taste of Chaos, you lucky bastard  I wanted to go see KSE i know Adam D wasnt in the linup but it must of been preety awesome. what were they like, pitty The Australian Taste of Chaos tour was no where near as good as the US Tour. Atreyu and MCR were on the american bill. i would of been at Taste of Chaos but it sold out in the first couple of hours, fukin emos

yer and matty it sucks not getting into clubs and pubs although i have a few times but most my friends are already 18 so kinda sucks #-o

slipknot: non stop energy, dont really love their music but their live show was exhausting, just non stop aggression in the pit.
pantera: one of the highlights of my life, was right against the barrier their whole set about 3 metres from my all time guitar idol dimebag, got a special dimebag pick that he threw in the crowd and my mate got one of vinny's drum sticks!
fear factory: almost as good as pantera, awesome show.

and btw, thats just some of the gigs ive PAYED to see! i used to work at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for about 3 yrs, which is where every big band plays when they come to adelaide, so ive seen hundreds of bands and other events like crusty demons etc for free! :D

Not into KSE, but from what I heard from others there were quite raw and rough, not very tight as a band and the lead singer hardly sung because he kept dropping the mike many times. Sounds like you didn't miss much. You'll be happy to know that this years line-up for Australia is much heavier! :D

I think only a few have been confirmed I could be wrong but can't find the info any more. Atreyu and Thrice I think were definately on the list, Deftones were another I think. But don't want to get your hopes up!

A couple of months ago I missed GZA and DJ Muggs doing a show here in Sydney..

Some of the best stuff I've seen recently would have to be Cypress Hill, The Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, The White Stripes and Public Enemy a while back.
I've seen Grinspoon play almost 20 times..

GZA and Muggs would have been awesome, 2 of my fave MCs/DJs there (i got my username from the GZA!).

public enemy would have been rad, i was obsessed with these guys for a while, had nation of millions and fear of a black planet permanently in my CD player for a year or 2.

grinspoon ive seen about 7-8 times, they play at almost every festival that comes to adelaide. i still remember being the first one of my mates to hear sickfest and be in love with them, trying to tell everyone about this band, to which the usual reply was "Grinspoon? what a retarded name." then their early EPs came out and everyone jumped on their wagon.

Grinspoon

We used to play so many Grinspoon covers! They have awesome bass lines that sound sic and are fun and challenging to play. More Than You Are, Just Ace, Freezer and DCX3! :D
